The real question one should be asking is what's behind the fuel scarcity? Has anything changed in 8 years? Nigeria still fully dependent on oil, still no working refinery, still at the mercy of outside countries to refine our own oil. Yes APC is to blame but not APC alone, PDP could not do and neither can LP. Now before you start salivating and ranting that LP is different, can someone point me to Obi's manifesto or plan for resolving the issues I've mentioned so far?
The truth is simple, Nigeria cannot be saved through democracy yet, we are just deceiving ourselves, that Constitution gan gan na our problem. The last good leader that tried to save this country was murdered, so perhaps instead of expecting a messiah, why don't we hold these candidates accountable for one or two things? If na electricity you wan fix, TALK AM. If na unemployment/hunger TALK AM. Even if na just security, TALK AM, if they failed to do that one or two things, they are automatically disqualified for reelection. Expecting them to perform magic is like setting ourselves up for failure, let's drop the fantasy and WAKE UP! |
