Having read what most people are saying here it is my conviction that most Nigerians did not understand the whole issues here.

First, it is the right of Enyeama and the other players to make known their reservations about the travel arrangement but they went too far by refusing to board the plane thereby delaying the flight of the team to Madagascar for a CRUCIAL encounter.

Siasia did the right thing by enforcing discipline in the team. However he could have fined the players or punish them prospectively in the future. The match in Madagascar was too CRUCIAL for the nation and every one of our best should be available.

Having said that NLs should remember as somebody pointed out here that Siasia himself was not a very disciplined player under Westerhof and he got punished severally. In fact, he displayed his indiscipline on the field one time by refusing to pass the ball to a better placed/positioned player in a world cup qualifying and was axed by Westerhof.

I therefore expect him to be strict with his players but at the same time fatherly.

NONSENSE AND AVERAGE PLAYERS, Could he have tried that with CAPELLO if he were playing for England?

@obamaus,
in ur mind, do u think these players shld become slaves because they want to play for nigeria? we all want these players to sacrifice for nigeria but have we stopped to ask, who else is ready to make sacrifices for nigeria? as rich as nigeria is, no single tv station considered it worth doing showing the game between nigeria and madagasca. as big and rich as nigeria is with millions of nigerians parading themselves as private jet owners, nobody considered it wise doing offering his jet for these guys to travel on.
we were all here sometime ago blaming the togolese teams for going through congo where they were attacked by the angolan rebels yet we wanted these players to fly through congo. can't nigeria afford a direct flight for players who are sacrficing a lot to play for us? what is wrong with a player protecting the interests of the whole team? is siasia there to support everything the nff say or to work with his team? at the end of the day, some of the super eagle players that futured in the SA2010 are yet to be paid their bonus. will that ever happen in england and cappelo team which u are comparing with?
for a policeman to work here in nigeria, he needs a bribe, for our politcians to function, they loot our public funds, for most pastors and imams to pray for u, u need to pay them so what is wrong in providing a good aircraft for players going for national assignments? what we prefer is the kind shameful attitude melted to our falcon players who were receieved with a tomotoe truck in a country where all politicians are billionaires. supporting evils will always bring evils to us. these players deserver better treatments. imagine same players finishing the game in madagasca, flying straight to bangladesh and then facing the almighty argentina on tuesday. pls let us show these men some respects.
for siasia, he might end up playing these games himself one day.

Our players shud be disciplined no players is greater than nigeria. Siasia shud stamp his authority on the team to maintain discipline.

What is the confusion about?

Its a very simple and straight forward thing: you mess up in my team, i drop you!

Nobody's opinion is welcome here by Sia1 cos its his team! He takes responsibility for anything that happens to that team.

So if dropping one or two players will make his team maintain focus and play the way he wants, so be it!!!

I see Sia1 going far if we allow him. Anyone that has a problem with what he did is obviously never been in charge before or does not havea clue of what it means to lead.

He is the coach; the man-in-charge, he takes the glory and the blame alike, so ride on coachy!

Our players should learn to respect and know when to talk. How could Enyeama bring up such at that crucial hour in the manner he did?

My question is this: so how did they eventually travel to Madagascar? Was Enyeama's suggestion taken?

Sincere, Enyeama u disappointed and sure wome other Nigerians. There is something they say abt doing the right thing at the right time and knowing how to be diplomatic in what you do. You might be fighting a just course, but u have to use your sense. Well, with your appology, you have done the right thing.
