The people live in poverty, while kleptocrats thrive,
Exalted at the realm of power, their pockets filled with life.

Princes walk on barefoot, as slaves ride on horses high,
Injustice reigns supreme, while justice dies.
The rich get richer still, while the poor fall to their knees,
Trapped in a cycle of despair, their future one of disease.

The air is thick with corruption, the water polluted with greed,
The land is scarred by greed and theft, the people's needs unheeded.
In a world turned upside down, the weak are treated with disdain,
And those who dare to speak out are met with anger and pain.

But hope still shines in Nigeria, a flicker in the dark,
A voice that rises from the ashes, a light that will not stark.
For change must come to this land, a change that brings an end,
To the rule of fools and kleptocrats, and the suffering of friends.

So let us raise our voices, in a chorus loud and clear,
For a future bright and just, where all are free from fear.
