Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, examined nine roads at Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Council that are currently under construction.

The nine roads under construction are namely;
1. Obodoukwu-Owerri Road 2+884.16km
2. Ogbuagu-Mgbuka Road 2+972.47km
3. Edeh-School Rd-Awalite-Ojoto-Owerri Road 1+479.72km
4. School Rd-Umuobom-Ojoto 0+576.52Km
5. Umuobom-AdaziAni Street-Owerri Road 0.769Km
6. Umunweke Street-Umeojiako Street Road 0.583Km
7. Awalite Street-Anumudu Mgbuka Amazu Road 0.990Km
8. Uzi Street-Mission Street Road 0.538Km
9. Anumudu Street-GMO Road 0.375Km

Anambra Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo addressed the crowd and explained that he had come to assess the level of work being done in the nine roads in Okpoko. He claimed to have observed various work segments at Ogbuagu, Chidebere, Awalite Road, and other locations.

The Governor declared his love for Okpoko, which is why he is determined to revamp the neighborhood and raise the area's profile in order to raise the community's residents' standard of living.

The Governor claimed that APGA is the party of the common man and that the state has experienced tremendous growth since its founding in Anambra 17 years ago.

He asserted that Governor Peter Obi made his contributions, his predecessor built an airport and an international convention center, and that he has been working nonstop since the day of his inauguration until this point.

"We have been flagging-off roads throughout the local governments, and we still still flagging more.

"We employed 5000 teachers in the state. We did something never before done! No Government has ever hired 5000 people in under a year.

"As part of our mission to create a clean, green, and healthy Anambra, we'll also hire 5000 people to take care of cleaning and maintaining our roads.

"By the end of our first year in office, we would have created more than 15,000 jobs in Anambra, according to Soludo.

"After the road construction is finished, we have contracted to install solar streetlights in Okpoko. Okpoko must glow and shine.

"In order to provide our youth with a space where they can unwind, exercise, play sports, and have access to free WiFi, we decided to build a Youth Recreation and Leisure Centre in Okpoko.

"We are also building a General Hospital in Okpoko because I was shocked to learn there isn't one in a region with over a million residents.

The residents of Okpoko will be given opportunities to realize their God-given potentials, Soludo promised. "Due to the living conditions in Okpoko, many have entered into crime and evil social vices to survive.

He mentioned the ongoing One Youths Two Skills empowerment program run by the Ministry of Youth Development, disclosing that more than 5000 youths are being empowered.

If any interested individuals missed the first batch, Soludo said another batch will start in a few months.

As his government constructs infrastructure, he said, they are also constructing people, which he referred to as "productive stomach infrastructure."

The Governor also mentioned that over 10,000 young people will receive digital skills training as part of another initiative called "Solution Innovation District," which will start in the coming months.

The Governor and his entourage were earlier welcomed by Hon. Paschal Aniegbuna, the TC Chairman of Ogbaru, on behalf of the residents of Ogbaru and the Okpoko community. He claimed that since the creation of Anambra State, the community has not seen a single tarred road, but that the Governor has stepped in to bring road infrastructure to the area.

The Governor is also building a hospital and recreational facilities in Okpoko, according to the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okomma. He urged them to vote for APGA from top to bottom.

Hon. Emmanuel Uzonwanne (Ichaka Ogbaru), APGA candidate for the Anambra House of Assembly's Ogbaru 2 constituency, pleaded with the Governor to go to Oguikpele in Ogbaru, where oil is drilled, so that the locals could meet and greet him.

According to Hon. Linus Ezenwamma, candidate for APGA in the Ogbaru 1 Constituency of the Anambra House of Assembly, nothing like what is happening right now has ever happened in the past fifty years. He claimed that Okpoko is one of the biggest urban slums in the world and expressed gratitude to God for sending the Governor to rescue them from the depths of darkness.

Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu, APGA candidate for Ogbaru Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, stated that nine roads are presently constructed under Governor Soludo's administration. He claimed that when the Governor visited the community the day after his inauguration, it was clear that Okpoko had become his primary area of interest.

Despite their lackluster performance in the last election, APGA candidate for Anambra North Senatorial District Dr. Mrs. Ebele Obiano reminded the populace that APGA Government is in charge of the advancement they are currently experiencing. In a few years, Okpoko, according to her, will no longer be regarded as an urban slum but rather the New York of Anambra State. She stated that Ogbaru currently has twelve oil wells, and that once she is elected to the Senate, she will fight to have Ogbaru included in the Niger Delta Development Commission.

The Special Adviser on Political Matters, Alex Obiogbolu, Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, Chief of Protocol, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye Glamour amongst others attended the inspection.

Ode man. Inspecting yeye roads and the police are busy killing people for free and collecting their properties and money in your state. They are tagging you on Instagram and twitter but you turn deaf. Anamabra youths are so useless anyway, with all the information released by gistlover , none of them got into actn.. even the so called useless Anambra celeb didn't say anything, it was not on the front page of the nairaland.. anyway this Anambra people deserve everything they get in their state.
