We are the giant of Africa for a reason

But tinubu and Apc is taking us back to retrogression

We say no to tinubu

He can't distance himself from this administration
We can not handover Nigeria at this present condition to some one who is not aware of his environment with dementia. Someone not physically and mentally fit

You see the pic below...the national anthem was going on but this man is not aware of his environment oshiomhole was looking at him like what da fuccck his wrong with this man....in oshiomhole mind he is like Nigeria will be the greatest fools if they allow this man to rule

What is your obsession with Tinubu for God's sake? Here is a post that has nothing to do with politics or Tinubu and your unfortunate self found a way to throw shades at him.

Nigeria made interesting movies, not for the Oscars, but because they wanted to tell African stories to Africans.
But what's the point of making movies for a specific market? lIke Chinese movies for the Chinese..doesn't this defeat the purpose of making movies? besides there's more to being African than just marriage movies, witchcraft, etc

South Africa's entertainment industry is not as lucrative and successful as Nigeria's.
Success is relative, if you're talking in terms of critical acclaim and awards, then SA entertainment industry is miles ahead and is more lucrative, look it up

All Africans love Nollywood...I remembered some years ago when I was jn Joburg, a South African artiste was excited when she knew I was from Nigeria...she said I like those movies where they say 'tufiakwa', other Africans...from Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana were asking me about Aki & Pawpaw...

If the story permits why not? For an industry to expand and improve, the stories must have range....Imagine telling a stroty about a club stripper and yet there are no nude scenes for example, For Nollywood to improve stories have to be more daring not the usual love triangles, rich family from Lagos, jealous mother -in law, etc

You can depict those characters without going lewd
We've seen Joseph being tempted in the Bible without anyone being naked in the movies

It's not abt movie production buh the quality and delivery of the movies. The audiences acceptance also matters.

Now, talking abt quality: Nigeria producers and directors still see the use of simple tricks as a rocket science. Nollywood still find it difficult to execute simple tricks like a possessed demon climbing the wall nd ceiling like a reptile. They find it difficult to portray an accident scene. Talking abt action movies, they still find it difficult to throw kicks and punches like Hollywood and Bollywood.

Talking abt delivery: someone will b shot in the head buh would hold his/her chest or tummy. I can go on and on.

Some faction of Nollywood has bcom boring and predictable. Any small tin Palace movies, wit Kings, queens and princes. Same story line where a prince is not allowed to marry a lady who is not loyalty. Or some princes dragging for the throne after the demise of the king.
Re we talking Abt the village movies where the actresses almost go naked in the name of a village movie? And the story lines re usually gotten from story books.

But some other factions where we have actors like, Ray Emodi, Frank Leonard, and a host of other talented actors re representing us well.

Mind u, I'm not trying to talk down on Nollywood, I jux want them to improve. Though some producer/directors like Kunle Afolayan and a few others re tryin, buh a lot needs to b done.

The context of a bible movie renders nude scenes unnecessary however not so for a movie that depicts a life of a stripper. Context!

If it was all about quality, then movies from the UK, France, Spain, Korea, etc would have been second. You can't tell me movies from India and Nigeria are better than movies from those countries

I jux feel it's a fallacy to say Nollywood is ranked 2nd or 3rd best in the world behind Hollywood and Bollywood.

Note: Nollywood is ranked 2nd largest in the world, behind Bollywood. But largest doesn't mean best.

I hope Wale Adenuga Productions still pays Essence (Uwale Okoro) royalty on this theme song. Essence got a beautiful voice. She's silent for a while now. Maybe her family is sucking all her time.

A Zimbabwean lady has revealed in a trending video the Nigerian show that got her fellow Zimbabweans obsessed with Nigerian movies.
The video was shared on a popular twitter handle and is gathering comments from users across Africa who are also obsessed with Nolloywood.

Users from Ghana, Kenya, and other African countries believe the situation is the same in their countries.

The Zimbabwean lady talked about the popularity of Nigerian movies and TV shows in Zimbabwe and that Nollywood movies and TV shows are broadcast regularly on Zimbabwe's national TV station, ZBC (Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation).

Your thoughts?

Nigerians are blessed... the only problem is bad leadership.... vote for our future, vote for a better Nigeria, vote Peter Obi.

Well, you can't possibly have prostitutes and a porn industry but no strip clubs, they are there somewhere
