So terrorists wont operate cos theres no cash? What a senseless point? Life means nothing to them so they will morph into a more ruthless outfit. Gosh, what a country!

Faced by hardship. Listen to the dumb terrorist sympathizing army spokesman. Faced by hardship, yet they are demanding tens of millions. What about the people they are kidnapping and killing? Are they not also faced by hardship. Northerners have soft spot for terrorists and even encourage their activities.

At the expense of millions of people hungry and few scores have died and properties worth millions of naira has been destroyed.

It's not worth it.

There are better ways to end terrorism. It shouldn't be at the expense of millions of people suffering.

The security appratus should become more efficient and better organized. This policy in it's present form is not sustainable. If it lingers beyond this week it will cause anarchy. This may happen in SE starting from next week by the time their pretense wane after Obi finally loses the election. They are still supporting the policy because they think it'll hurt Tinubu's chances of becoming President.

“The terrorists who had been exposed to hardship living conditions have resorted to kidnapping, seeking for ransom in cash and requesting for food stuff from their victims,” he said.

Many dullarrdds won't read this!

This is a mumu post. So, to fight kidnapping we must continue to make currency scarce, abi? That means we cut our nose to spite our face. These people have no creative solution to Nigerian problems. I can't wait for Tinubu to be sworn in to show them creative ways to solve problems without much negative impact on the masses.
For the past seven years plus, Alahaji Tinubu have been around the corridors of power. Remember APC used to call him the leader of the party. And he did not teach his party all these past years the creative ways to solve Nigerian problems.

Making the currency scarce should not make us suffer if only we will embrace it. Can you imagine, many traders will close there shops because of lack of cash than to accept transfers or buy POS devices for effective transactions

Until we do away with our primitive mentality of depending on notes for transactions, then we will not appreciate the benefits of this cashless policy...

Its better for those traders to close down that we leaving in the kind of society we were . cash and crime goes together.without cash 90% of crimes will cease.

Who cares? Edo people have been easily deceived by igbos from time imemorial. They were' righteously' told by Azikiwe to request for midwest region, Awolowo gave it to them. Yet azikiwe rejected the minority ijaws for their own region when they requested it from the SE.
Next they were cajoled to join biafra war. When the biafra soldiers eventually entered benin, plundered the whole place and named an igbo man as midwest premier, their leader rode bycicle to Lagos to ask Gowon for help. Awon ode tongue.

Most Nigerians don't know what next is coming as a consequence of this policy.

Most people, Most especially those illiterates Market Men/Women won't take their monies to the Bank again🤣

But it didn't stop gunmen killing security personnel and taking lives of some people in the Southeast region.

The governors of the Southeast region should find solutions to this killing and destruction of properties

At best, this is temporary measure.

Monetary policy can NEVER fill the shoe of national security and intelligence.

There's nothing to celebrate here for our military force. They have a short window to work hard and double down to close in on the evil elements troubling the peace of the nation and its citizens.

Nevertheless, I commend our agencies for the nice job done over the last 3 years to chase BH and ISIS out of the country into the Chad basin. Political parties went around the country, the northern states especially, for their campaigns without fear of attacks or disruptions. Tbh, we haven't commended enough the Nigerian Army and Air Force for a fantastic job well done. I follow Nigeria security intelligence news very well; our West African neighbors are commending Nigeria steadily especially for not giving BH and ISIS breathing space in the basin. The good job we did is not only yielding dividend for our nation but has brought peace to West Africa.

that has nothing to do with naira policy. Don't be fooled. A kidnapper doesn't care how you pay the ransom, it's the kidnapped and his family that would be under pressure. What of ransome in dollars or other hard currency. The reduced activities of kidnappers is due to the elections; thier bosses probably told them to pipe low for now. My thoughts...
