Please suggest a car or SUV for a Site Engineer

I don't need a truck like Tundra or Hilux

Just a vehicle with the following:
1. That would boost my image before client's. Car wey my Client go see, e go no say I no de beg for food.

2. A start and go vehicle that is rugged and won't give me issues

3. Budget less than 8Million

4. A car for everyday movement. I am always on the move within city (no much traveling), so a fuel efficient /economic vehicle is ok.

Preferably a 4 cylinder or V6 at most. No V8

Thank you in advance.

Your post is very confusing.
N1M OR 500k is less than 8m so what exactly is your budget or what range??
Secondly if u are a site engineer then u need an SUV and not a sedan or "car" as u put it up there.
Anyways I will advice u go for a 2005-2007 Honda pilot

Tacoma, Hilux, 4Runner.
Re: . by blaksril(m): 9:13pm On Mar 04, 2023
Dude, go for a 4runner. I have a gx460, Audi Q7, a camry and corolla. My 4runner is more reliable and efficient than all these combined. A 4runner shouldn't be sold it should be worshipped. wink

Which Model year of 4Runner? 2005- is a V8
Re: . by blaksril(m): 11:40pm On Mar 04, 2023
Mine is the 2008 v8 Limited (full option). You could get a V6 which would be more efficient with fuel consumption (I love the sound of the V8 and more torque)
The 4th gen 4runners(2003-2009) also have V6 engines. Its only the limited editions that have v8 engines.

For elevating the 4Runner to a god status, I won't buy it.

No man made thing or created thing should be worshipped.

Honda Ridgeline is a cool SUV.
Seriously, as a site Engineer, you will be fine with vehicle that has bucket.
Last June, I advised a friend who was in your shoes to get a Ridgeline. He never regretted it. He got it at N3,2m with Booth cover and side steps. It was registered but very clean.

A Ridgeline, though cool looking, isn’t a proper off-road truck and may have some difficulties doing what proper body on frame trucks easily do.

Volvo xc 90
And thank me later
Re: . by sultaan(m): 7:52pm On Mar 05, 2023
Honda Pilot because of the AWD capability
Volvo XC90 due to I5 and off road capability
Honda Ridgeline same advantage as pilot but cheaper.
If you can find a 4cyl Ford Ranger everywhere else in world it competes with Hilux.

A good truck @$10,000 custom cleared con only happen with high mileage XC90 and Pilot and questionable Highlander

Imo

Ignore his elevation and buy the 4runner. Trust me you won't regret it.
You can get a 2008 model V6 for about 6m to 7m foreign used.
Please make sure it's a 4wd and not 2wd.
The 4wd has a knob for switching on the dashboard and it comes with differential locks.
This is so that you can confidently visit your sites without worrying about getting stuck on the way or on site. The highlander or Volvo XC90 or Audi Q will not do it. Those are for taking the kids to school and back.
Another good vehicle is the Prado but I doubt if you can get a clean one for 8m unless you get a model before 2009.
I have a Volvo XC90 awd and a 4runner V6 4wd so I'm speaking from experience.
