What Aisha is saying is not different from what Obi said. They're both all about competence

Obi further called on his supporters to vote for candidates with competence, character, capacity, and compassion

As long as its not APC
But must everything be about social media? Can't she call Mr Obi and discussed it with him.
That's why people is afraid of given women power, they are very lousy.

That's better...

You don't dismiss a man you do not know...

Frank was a visible and popular minister but that might not be enough..

His disappearance from the political scene for years will likely haunt him in this contest...

Honestly, I never knew he was contesting till I saw this thread... Didn't even know he was from Enugu.

The guy really went quiet after his ministerial stint.

Chijioke Edeoga has been in court in court against Odengene up until last week or so.

There's PDP, NNPP etc in Lagos State election too oh.

Just AFGA the polical party of Igbos is good for Enugu.

I swear God will punish these okoros and their enablers.

Enugu governorship is between LP and APGA. May the best man win.

PDP and APC are out of the picture entirely. Mbah should join LP and contest in 2027..

Still pursuing individuals at the expense of building institutions. Nigerians will never learn. When these individuals become tyrants the weakened institutions will no longer be able to contain them.

Is she living in Frank Nweke's mind. Does she know the innermost thoughts and intentions of the man...

But there is a way to make democracy work for the good of people which is by building strong institutions around values and by selling those values you attract the right kind of leadership that fits and that will not be big enough to affect the institution and infect it negatively.

Let leadership plead and cry for opportunity so they fear and respect the people rather than people chase after and hero worship them into becoming tin gods.

The black man simply cannot lead himself successfully and build viable societies. Elections after elections yet no progress and we persist in error.

Sebi una dey see am now, I am happy some people can still see clearly inside the Labour party. Where the problems lies is not getting the support but being able to manage the support. Obedients are voting EluuP from top to bottom and will end up putting incompetent and inexperienced and corrupt people in power. A case study is Tony Nwoye of Anambra(the first NANS president to collect money sell NANS to Federal government). He was PDP chairman in Anambra, moved to APC and contested Governorship election but lost now tried Senate under EluuuP and won. Many more are there that I don't know but pls let's vote competence and not party......Pls Obedients vote for people that can make things happen, Labour party has been compromised but u can maintain the Obedient movement

My Opinion

Ibo's are always bitter and envious of other tribe especially Yorubas politically, To them it is like Lagos should be part of their region, mind you seven rivers were crossed before they got to Lagos. These is evidenced during the civil war where after you people have annexed the Eastern region and you didn't stay on that, you wanted to penetrate into Western region up to claiming Lagos before your excruciating defeat at Ore, Present day Ondo State.

Children of History note that the Yorubas who led the war into Lagos disobeyed Ojukwu when they saw that his plan is to override the west as against his earlier secession plan of the Eastern region. They were court martialed eventually and death sentence was passed for disobeying Ojukwu.

When you look at it why are they envious of Asiwaju, they can't even say only that is a Godfather bla bla, as far as am concerned Asiwaju handpicking candidate bore development to the state and the other states he has hands on, please compare the development of those states he has hand in with the other parties that had ruled earlier.(OYO,OSUN,OGUN,EDO especially) am not saying the new generation of Governors but at least between 1999 and 2019.

Yorubas are welcoming, An Anambra woman who I knew is a Director in a Lagos State Ministry (Name withheld), She said to me, She sat for the promotional exam, had an interview and got promoted on merit. Still yet she always complain ill about the Yorubas. What can we call such person, an ingrate.

How many Igbo states a Yoruba or anyother tribe is a Director in thier state ministry.
Make una keep preaching hatred, the fire that consumed you people during the civil war will still consume you.

I was educating one fellow on a WhatsApp group about this Aisha overzealousness...

Aisha is not a politician.... Politics is much more than noisemaking and whipping up emotions.

It will be massively counterproductive for Labour Party to allow a state that is within their grasp to slip to an opposition party barely on naive reasons...

If Frank wins tomorrow, that will bring APGA governors in the South East to two...

If Frank is convinced by Soludo to join forces with him, where will that leave Labour Party?

Is there any irrevocable deed extracted from Frank that he will join Labour after winning?

You don't commit existential blunders and then come around to cry foul in the future...

If there is anything, Labour Party should weaken APGA as much as possible in the SE and not strengthen it by crass lack of forward thinking...

The game of politics is not akara and bread...
and you forgot that Edeoga was in PDP for 24 years. What assurance do you have that he won't leave LP
Re: "God Forbid" – Aisha Yesufu Disagrees With Peter Obi Over Governorship Candidate by princeemma69: 5:46pm On Mar 08, 2023
maestroferddi:
Oga, idealism hardly works in politics...

Structure is important whether you like it or not...

You will not make progress as a party unless you build a potent political force by getting your party members into elective positions.

Elections are not won three or four months to a general election but right after results are declared after an election.

You saw what structure did in places like Rivers State...

If the Labour candidate fails to deliver after being elected, there are several mechanisms to call him to order

It is completely visceral to dismiss a man you barely know.

Edeoga is a practising lawyer and has been in the political scene for long...cut the man some slack...
what did he achieve in those years as a commissioner? Even if he fails to deliver, there is no way the party can call him to order in this Nigeria
Re: "God Forbid" – Aisha Yesufu Disagrees With Peter Obi Over Governorship Candidate by toxict14: 5:53pm On Mar 08, 2023
Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is the incoming governor of Enugu state.
Know this and know peace.
We the people of Enugu state have made our choice.
We say no to Ebeano family in totality.

Which is more probable: A governor decamping from the party from which he got his mandate or a governor decamping from a party which raised him from obscurity to prominence?

You need state governors now to consolidate the gains of the party and not futile idealism...

You think Peter Obi is foolish by asking that candidates of the party be voted for?

Most of you guys don't know Jack about the dynamics and intricacies of the political game.

When Nigerian politicians begin to teach you a lesson, you will begin to wail helplessly...

What assurances do you have that Frank Nweke will join Labour Party?

Which politician in Nigeria doesn't have a history of prior affiliations?

Politics goes beyond fantasy and guesswork...
