lol. First of all, where is the light to control the railways crossing barrier? Even there was a solar option, they will steal the inverter and battery. You dey talk as if you are not in Nigeria. Ordinary manholes cover in Asokoro, they are stealing everyday. You put street light, them steal am, you do train tracks, them steal the tracks. If you know the losses NRC is incurring, you will weep for Naija. This blame should totally go to the bus driver. You are correct. Any level crossing within metropolis should have Level crossing gate so the question is where is the "Gate"? Railway whatever should answer the question.

Accident do happen whether you are a good driver or a bad one, what's important is how quick medical services can reach the victims to stabilize them. It's obvious that the driver is probably unaware of road signs which I doubt because they are retrain, or he has other personal issues or just plain Lagos inpatient. Me I suggest Medical Helicopter Ambulances be donated to the Nigerian Air force and there could be a Service Level Agreement with various states to lift their medical emergency.

Most times, there is always NRC staff that stops vehicle from crossing when train is approaching. But this BRT drivers have this feeling that they are driving government busses and can never be arrested for floating traffic rules and tend to do whatever they like on the road.

The Lagos state government and the Nigerian Railway Corporation should make sure they lock up that idiot forever and ever
