I laugh when I see my fellow Igbos boast about how they control the economy with Igbo style of commerce. You can’t blame them because the average Igbo man no get sense. Buying and selling goods you’re not producing when you import everything from China and Europe doesn’t move the needle. It keeps people engaged and generate low level impact but those feeling the real impact are the countries producing the goods. China and Europe are the ones benefiting from Ndi Igbos type of business not Nigeria. Consumers don’t benefit much and they even stunt their productivity. Nna Ndi Igbo we need to start telling ourselves the truth. We no control anything. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

It's a method that destroys local economy.. buying and selling or importing goods to consume is nonsense, total nonsense. The real commerce is when you produce and manufacture the things you consume and sell the remaining to other countries.. That is the only way to real economic development. 2 Likes |
