THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised the opposition Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) to pay attention to the deficit in character of some of its leaders rather than trying to dictate to President Goodluck Jonathan on how to run his government.

In a statement entitled: “ACN, physician heal thyself,” issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali, in Abuja on Thursday, PDP noted how the ACN led other opposition parties into unnecessary frenzy and excitement following the attainment of 100 days in office by Jonathan.

According to the statement, while the PDP welcomed public discourse on the activities of government, it, however, observed “with deep regret that desperate politicians, as always, hiding behind opposition politics, have taken over, to unleash their venom and jaundiced agenda on the rest of our people.”

It said: “in particular, the sweeping condemnation of the president by the Action Congress of Nigeria smacks of confusion, mischief and, indeed, desperate political opportunism to deflect attention from the barrage of integrity crisis facing the leaders of the ACN.

“They have also refused to come to terms with the reality that, there’s nowhere in the world today, as we know it, where an opposition political party, hiding under whatever guise, imposes it’s will on a civilized society, dictating to an independent judiciary, the appointment and discipline of its judicial officers and modus operandi of this critical arm of government.”

In my opinion, there are no barrage of integrity facing the leaders, instead what we have till date are barrage of allegations which are yet (in the process) to be tested in the court of Law. The leaders of ACN are innocent until proven guilty. PDP, should save us this mockery of theirs and quickly test these allegations at the appropriate quarters. If they are found guilty (ACN leaders), then they should be punished. Till then, they should simply shut it.

A need 4 leadership is a need of man. Therefore if a supposed 'leader' seem clueless even a child will dictate to him. There is no vaccum in nature.
