Labour Party Beats APGA, Wins Akwa 1 Constituency In Anambra by Uba76: 6:22pm On Mar 20, 2023
The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Henry Nigeria Mbachu has been declared winner in Awka 1 State Constituency, Anambra state capital.
Henry defeated his counterpart of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Nwafor Igwedinma Samuel to clinch the ticket.

The Constituency is where the Anambra State Government House and other top administrative offices are located.

The INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Rafael Odigbo of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, said that Mbachu, polled 8,591 votes, adding that Nwafor of APGA, came second with 8,315 votes while Okoye Uche of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 5,656 votes.
