You only become an ex convict after you've been sentenced by a court not after you've been called for questioning.
Besides Keyamo is too big for this news to be hidden till now, I'm sure it's either fake or it exposes the military or autocratic style of leadership being portrayed as at that time.
His reason for being detained wasn't published.
