The dictionary meaning of disguise is to give (someone or oneself) a different appearance to conceal one's identity: "CJN Ariwoola disguised as a MIP (Mobility Impaired Person)."

What can make perpetrators move under disguise to hide their identity if not hiding evidence, obstructing Justice, or a feeling of guilt?
Suppose the dictionary says that a judge is a public officer appointed to decide cases in a law court. Should someone who is to dispense Justice be associated with a crime?

And what on earth can make a Judge disguise himself? Is disguising oneself not a crime?
But we are not talking of any judge but the Chief Justice of a nation, that the presiding Judge in a nation's supreme court going undercover. Are we human beings? Do we still have shame, blood, and water in our flesh?

CJN is of the generation that studied with the lantern. Is lighting a lantern and covering it with a dark blanket not worse? Should the house catch fire, would there be any surprise?
A Nigeria Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, disguised as a woman, did he not lose his enviable post?

Do you remember the son of Ademola II, the Alake of Egbaland Sir, Adetokunbo Ademola, who was a Nigerian judge and former Chief Justice of Nigeria (1958-1972)? What of Chukwudifu Oputa, a Judge of the Supreme Court of Nigeria from 1984 to 1989? Also, CJN Taslim Olawale Elias, minister of Justice and attorney-general, sat as president of the International Court of Justice from 1982 to 1985.

Because there was a magistrate court opposite my secondary school, MSS, I started attending the court to hear cases during breaks.
For specific reasons, integrity and honesty became interesting, so I asked questions about the judges.
Someone told of one particular Judge who locked his gate to visitors every day after returning home from court, no matter the reason, to avoid being influenced. That Judge was the jurist Chukwudifu Oputa.
