Any Lawyer that will dispute the constitutional clause will look so stupid and useless. Now for the people who think otherwise now take it step by step and analyse this section of the constitution as a lay man

Here is it
(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Now there is a Conjunction there AND
An elementary primary school pupil knows that AND is a conductive words holding two independent clause together

Remember Conjunction are parts of speech that connects words, phrases, clause or sentence together. In this case the AND is connecting the two clause together.

I remember when we were in Secondary school, the requirement to transition to the next class was that You must pass English and Mathematics. If you want score 100% in English, once you fail mathematics, you are going to repeat that class.

So the Constitution is very clear on this stipulation and I know people who inserted it into the constitution has a clear cut reason why it is there. That will be a story for another day. This case is easy to win in Court except Nigeria judiciary want to make mockery of themselves before the whole world.

FCT is not a state

that is why the constitution can not say 37 states. it is simply 37 places.

2/3 of (36 States and FCT). Just take your mind off that and be looking for drug case, that one Otilo

if FCT na different criteria, it will be like this :

(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation

(c) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja

Secondly It is against the principle of equality to say without 25% of people in Abuja voting for a candidate, the candidate is not legitimate,

So if u win and flog all your opponents in 36 states and have 23% in Abuja u are not the representation of the people's wish. ?

Dont waste your time, this will be the first to be thrown out of the window. It does not make any sense in all sense of it.

The people who wrote the constitution are not dumb. If 25% of Abuja is a separate criteria it will be on another line clearly written.

A baby lawyer will get that thrashed in 2023.
