Operation Show Your Report Card: Why Oshiomhole's Name Features Prominently In Tinubu's Incoming Government

Political scientists define politics as an act of an individual or a group that has an impact on the lives of others.

Politics, then, is defined as any action taken by a person or a group of people that has an impact on public life, not just running for office.

For instance, if I tell my wife in the living room that I want to have groundnut soup and pounded yam, it has nothing to do with politics. Yet, if I say the same thing live on air on Arise TV, it is clear that politics is involved.

The APC won the elections, which were fiercely contested. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu served as the party's symbol of victory. The win wasn't handed to Tinubu on a silver platter; it was earned through hard work and only God's grace, combined with his preparations, helped Tinubu prevail.

Tinubu not only stood his ground but also managed to hold it, Tinubu was lucky to have friends and acquaintances who never betrayed him, individuals who took his aspirations personally and determined it was a struggle that must be won.

Mentioning so many names from North to South, East to West would be a topic for another day, but I must applaud every South Easterner who supported Tinubu, notably Hope Uzodinma and David Umahi, who never wavered.

It was difficult for a South Easterner to advocate for Tinubu; it was almost like it was outlawed in the South East.

Today, everyone is yelling Adams Oshiomhole, he tried, he worked hard, na real Tinubu guy, he deserves such appointment, he deserves the Senate Presidency, and so on. Yes, the connection between Adams Oshiomhole and Tinubu did not begin today.

If you recall, after the demise of the Alliance for Democracy, AD of blessed memory, Tinubu and others formed the Action Congress, and Babatunde Fashola became the party's first governor in Lagos State.

The second state to have an AC governor was Edo, with Adams Oshiomhole, whom Tinubu supported in regaining his stolen mandate from the PDP.

We are aware of the events surrounding Oshiomhole's removal as APC National Chairman due to the elaborate scheme to deny Tinubu the party's presidential nomination.

He made the necessary sacrifice, and now the question is, "Who laughs last?" ...You ought to be well aware of the answer.

With the exception of the South East, the most perilous area for Tinubu supporters to campaign was in parts of Edo State, where there were many obnoxious Obidients who likely never had an Elders Picture in their living room due to their lack of adequate home training.

These misguided youngsters could have murdered someone because the person supported Tinubu or Atiku. This horde of unruly people was mostly found in Edo South, with some of them tasked with disrupting APC and PDP campaigns under the pretext of Obi or nothing.

Adams Oshiomhole defied all of their machinations and bravely campaigned for Tinubu on the streets and markets of Edo South, something that even some APC contenders in Edo South could not do.

In addition to delivering himself as the senator-elect for Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, who also happened to be the deputy director general of the APC presidential campaign council, also successfully delivered Tinubu across Edo North.

Thus, in politics, when they say "operation show your scorecard," it is anticipated that you produce your unit, ward, and senatorial district results. Adams Oshiomhole is deserving of all the plaudits and mentions, and he certainly deserves a special role in Tinubu's cabinet.

He shares many similarities with Tinubu, and if the former Lagos State governor, now President-Elect, is to match the expectations of the millions of people who have placed their trust in him, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole is expected to be a vital part of the next administration.
