Peter Obi’s Petition Against Tinubu Is An Effort In Futility – Ned Nwoko by DAVIDMOE(m): 8:24am On Apr 28, 2023 |
Delta North senator-elect, Ned Nwoko, has said the petition of the Labour Party Presidential candidate against the emergence of Tinubu as president-elect is an effort in futility. Punch reports that Nwoko explained that once the President-elect is sworn in, the petition filed against him at the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal in Abuja, might not see the light of day. According to him, the Labour Party’s ‘’poor assessment of the situation and unrealistic expectations'' led to its defeat. He said if the opposition parties had teamed up, they would have trounced the ruling APC in the election, given the ‘poor performance’ of the current APC regime, led by President Buhari. “Once Tinubu is inaugurated as President, he takes charge of everything. He becomes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces; he orders them and uses them as he wishes. He appoints new Chief Justice upon recommendation by the judicial council. So, you see, it is almost impossible to stop him from completing his four years tenure. Moving forward, the PDP and Labour Party have to come to terms and make next election more strategic. Natural alliance between both parties is the only way to save Nigeria from this inauspicious government.” he said https://davegist.com.ng/peter-obis-petition-against-tinubu-is-an-effort-in-futility-ned-nwoko/ 1 Like

Considering the nature of his agberocratic and toutractic way of doing things, I see this coming to pass once he is sworn in as president. |

Roboto11:Nobody is coming for his head unless you didn't read the body of the post. He made sense in the post. Nigeria justice system is controlled by the commander in chief and it will be very hard to get just once the President elect is sworn in. That's what the man is saying. He went further to urge Labor party and PDP for an alliance in 2027 |

Roboto11:nobody is coming for his head. Nigeria is a funny country. The last time they removed a governor that was about to be sworn in. The issue he raised is a very nice issue. Nigeria should make a law that mandates all electoral tribunals to be concluded just 1 month to the inauguration. Some states always do their elections one year after general election. It's bad. All these should be taken care of. 1 Like 1 Share |

The petition will be decided on merit and not based on coercion. This impression that the president can coerce the judiciary into doing the president’s bidding is wrong and must be corrected. Peter Obi’s petition is trash to start with. He has no case ab initio. His petition will be dismiss in accordance with the law because Tinubu won free and square and not because the judiciary was coerced to do so. 5 Likes |

Some people believe that Peter Obi will not win Anambra state in the general election. There is always a first time for everything. BTW PDP should be blamed for the situation we are in today . The thought Peter Obi is a nobody. |

Whether dem swear in Tinubu or not. Peter Obi had no chance in 2023 election. He allowed social media noise to get into his head. He didn't calculate this thing well, this was PDP best chance but OP was the spoiler. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Throwback: No. He more of stated the reality of Nigeria's corrupt system. Once Tinubu is inaugurated as President, he takes charge of everything. He becomes the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces; he orders them and uses them as he wishes. He appoints new Chief Justice upon recommendation by the judicial council. So, you see, it is almost impossible to stop him. |
