What concerns ‘Obidients’ with this case?

Isn’t this the same Ekweremadu that was beaten and embarrassed by Igbos in Nuremberg Germany?

I don't understand the reason behind all these politicians pleading for mercy, a crime is a crime no matter how it happens or the reason behind it..this simply means ekweramadu's would have gone scot free if this had happen in nigeria undecided

Who am I for the UK to discuss their issues with me?

Or have they tell you they don't want Kanu?

I ask because you seems to have an Intel of what the UK want.

Justice knows no tribe...

If he is found guilty of the crime, then let him serve.

If it was in Nigeria, people of his calibre are above Justice & Nigerians have all been formatted to understand that "Big men" are above the law.

Why all these plea for this man.

Did he show pity on the little boy. Why didn't he go through the normal process. A man of his caliber negotiating organ donor on the street tells you how wicked, inhuman, greedy he is.

By the way, if it was a poor man, would all these people still plead on his behalf.

30 years awaits you. Prepare for it.

Only high level diplomacy can work at this point. Like the president picking up the phone to offer a deal. Reduced sentence there, life VISA ban and deportation to Nigeria to finish his jail term as House arrest.

This is bigger than Abike, waaaay bigger

This is what should have been done ab initio. But I guess there is still time for the presidency to adopt this strategy.

Regardless of the outcome, I hope the elite/public office holders will learn to prioritise the health and educational sector.

It doesn't work that way...the offense is committed in the UK...and he will enjoy UK prison for some time before the UK can consider that kind of plea...

I believe by 'Obidients' you mean Igbos right? Sorry to disappoint, most Igbos cared less about his predicament as they believed he's was part of the gang of thieves eating the scarce "yam".

Will they be writing letters if this happened to an ordinary Nigerian?

Why is no human rights agency in Nigeria clamouring for judgement on behalf of the boy involved? He is Nigerian as well, isn't he?

Why does it look like some people are 'too big' to be punished for something that has long be established as an offense?

The point remains that the elites doesn't give a shit about you. They care for themselves irrespective of political or tribal differences.
Pause this holier than thou thing and ask yourself, if your child has asthma attack and on your way to the hospital there is serious hold up, would you break the law and drive a one way route or maintain the law and wait for the hold up to clear? Yes the man is guilty of this, and likely many more things but this is not the right instance for the punishment he may deserve.
Btw im sure nidcom writes letters for other unknown people you will never hear of since they are not "big men"

Why beg for leniency? We should simply grab one of the UK diplomats here in Nigeria, put up charges against him and lock him up while waiting for prisoner swap. Begging will only make them feel more emboldened and continue to ridicule us. How can you hold and threaten to jail a former DSP and serving Senator of the Federal Republic.

Anyone who understands how big the anti-human trafficking campaign is the the Uk, knows there is no way the UK will be lenient. Their citizens will crucify them and call them hypocrites. If anything they are more likely to use all these appeals as free publicity to play to the gallery and show their citizens they are tough on trafficking.

They have made trafficking a big issue domestically and It is too big an issue for them to be lenient.

That’s the reality facing Ekweremadu!

Abike is just protecting herself from attacks from ibos.

At the bolded is such a pathetic attempt at comparison. How about I give you a better one?

Let's say your life is in danger and you can save it but then you have to endanger someone else's life in the process, and you did it.

Now here is the question: should the appropriate authority punish you or they should just forgive you because you had no other choice but to save your life? I mean your life is more important than the other person whom you just endangered. Isn't it?

Stop playing politics here!
By Abike's statement,it's part of Diplomatic relations and solutions, she just did what others may consolidate on and indeed the Federal Govt can send an emissaries, just to Mr Sunak and the matter will be resolved,in Mr Ekweremadu's favour!
Nigerian government and Politicians -please do the followings:
- Build the same Hospitals here, Una de carry Nigeria Currency to Oyinbo people and stop wasting our Fund for self and selfish reasons.
- Build Enough Refineries for Nigeria and stop wasting our Crude Oil that other Nations have left us behind as unserious country!
- Build Infrastructures ( Roads, Railways, Waterway, etc) to reduce stress amongst the Populace!
