It’s not Central Africa.

Bantus migrated from the Eastern Nigerian and Western Cameroon axis - to other parts of Africa.

They were pushed out by the expansion and migration of the ethnic groups that occupy West Africa today.

Below is the Bantu expansion map

I often wondered why Nigeria is the most ethnically diverse country with, over 300 tribes, in Africa. This map gives us a clue.

Excuse me,have you watched Mr Bones?
If you have, which tribe are the characters based on?

There are still some Proto-Bantu groups in Nigeria. Tiv, Ekoi, Efik and Ibibio have varying levels of Bantu. And the Igbos have still have a small level of Bantu admixture.

West Africans have different migration patterns. Ancient West Africa was called ‘Sudan’. And there were some that expanded from the Mauretania and North West Africa area, after the empire built there collapsed due to flooding. They later built the Ghana empire and kept expanding. And rest migrated in different migration waves - from the present day Sudan/Ethiopia axis.

I believe there was also an indigenous gnome group in West Africa prior to the arrival of these new groups. But archaeologists are still trying to determine what happened to them.

The indigenous group would be the NOK culture. Am I correct on this?

This is just a misconception. Zulu people are not wicked like you think. I have met many of them and they are not like what we were told. Yes, they started the xenophobia stuff but South Africans joined them and now people are blaming just Zulu. That's not fair if you ask me.

Let's stop hating on the Zulu people. They are nice, they are beautiful and they are strong.

Wow! Interesting... I didn't know anything about the Bantus coming from Nigeria.

I learned that they came from Congo.

So do the Tiv, Ekoi, Efik, and Ibibio identify as Bantus?

Yeah, there are old historical threads on Nairaland that discussed this extensively back in 2010-2012. It is not actually Congo but actually Cameroun/Nigeria axis. The Bantus may have been the remnants of the Wet Sahara civilization that spread out into West and Central African areas over 5000 years ago. The only reason Congo might be relevant is because the first wave of migrants stayed in Congo before a second group emerged and travelled downwards.

Forget patriotism, South Africa get fine girls abeg.

See fine tall girl with tender skin.
No bleaching
No toothpick legs
No burnt knuckles like PH bolé
No protruded belly as a result of excess goat meat pepper soup and catfish pepper soup coupled with Smirnoff ice and hollandia yoghurt.

Nigerian girls are mostly short like fire hydrant. You hardly see a tall and pretty Nigerian girl.

God bless South African girls for me abeg. See as girl set and fresh like today's bread. kiss kiss kiss
lol

Check the statistics on southafrica in terms of bleaching on the continent of Africa.

Let me run a National Geographic commentary on African Migrations during the dark ages .

The Xhosa were documented with archeological evidence to have migrated from the river Benue trough in Nigeria in 235AD from the Tiv Land and carry with them cultural similarities up to this day as witnessed in their food, dressing , marriage and folklores.

While the Sotho Migrated as a Fula community in Nigeria in 721 AD and first settled in Windhoek, Namibia before moving for food and shelter and finally settled in their present home in Joburg.

Most of the time black South Africans just give general names.

Puleng could be Sepedi, Sotho, or Tswana.

Thembeka could be Zulu, Swati, Ndebele, or Xhosa.

Oh. That's cool to know.

Was a great fan of Rhythm City and Scandals tv series that year. That's how i got to love those names. Same for Soweto Gospel Choir. cool
