AN ICON JOINS THE SAINTS TRIUMPHANT: Dear Servants of the Most High, good morning. Our revered Father, the last Patriarch and first Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, and a former President of the World Methodist Council, His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Coffie Mbang, CON passed away early hours of yesterday, Tuesday 16th May, 2023, after a brief illness at the age of 86. The Prelate Emeritus was a former National President, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Thank you, Papa, for your service to God who called you and the Church of God, which you devoted your life to till your last breath. The Church is forever grateful to you for your years of dedication and leadership. Sleep on Papa🙏🙏

Condolences to his family and the Church. The Departure of a saint is to open his/her eyes in glorious majesty in Heaven. Don't get it twisted. He will not make Heaven because he was a pastor or because of the numerous titles he was given. He will not make Heaven because of the accolades showered on him on Earth. Having a Genuie relationship with JESUS Christ, surrendering to the Lordship of JESUS and loving for JESUS Christ is what will take him to Heaven. Never let the title or position you handle confuse you. Never let the name you heard confuse you. A Genuie relationship with JESUS CHRIST and living in obedience to His word is what gives us access to Heaven. 1 Like 1 Share |
