Im glad that Seun Kuti has finally regained freedom, detention in Nigeria can be an experience

However, I cannot help but compare the way Seun Kuti was treated, and the way Frederick Nwajiagu, the ceremonial "Eze Ndigbo Ajao estate", was treated.

Both men were arrested in Lagos for alleged crimes and arraigned in the same court. The authorities asked that they both be remanded in custody for 21 days. While Seun Kuti is out in less than a week, Eze Ndigbo, a man of nearly 70 years, was not only remanded for 21 days, but was slamed with 9 counts of terrorism and is still in detention

Seun Kuti verbally and physically assaulted a Policeman, Eze Ndigbo only talked. While Seun Kuti took action, Eze Ndigbo was more about peace, preserving the lives and property of his people. His only crime was mentioning IPOB.

The double standards in Nigeria is something else

Double gini? Stop it if it's a joke! How can you compare a terrorist with a hot blooded guy that slapped a police officer out of rage? Seun didn't even threaten the entire police force like the ceremonial igwe threatened Lagosians with terrorists!

I think, in Nigeria, you need to know someone that knows someone that knows someone in authority to survive.
The man should get a good lawyer to handle his case.

What your Eze Ndigbo committed is called treasonable felony against his host by threatening to bring war or cause social disturbances through terrorism, while Seun kuti only committed lesser crime by assaulting a police man on duty. Seun deserves to be release on bail pending when the court will sentence him accordingly. Eze Ndigbo offense is against a whole state, and his statement indicated he is probably a terrorist capable of unleash horror through his gang.

Hope you understand the difference now.

Proper education is what you people needed. I don't expect any intelligent person to create this type of dumbest thread, let alone having people supporting him. This and many others are the reasons you people can be easily deceived by half baked politicians.

Both Seun Kuti and the Eze Ndigbo fellow are both useless, only difference is one of them is more popular since he's the son of a legendary musician. I'm tired of this emotional rants and victim mentality rhetoric Gidgiddy, it's time Igbos stop crying for validation and pity on social media especially to bigots who don't care about you and start holding your leaders more accountable, people like the Eze Ndigbo should have known better! you stay in a hostile environment yet threatened to call IPOB to defend Igbos in Lagos, what was he expecting would be the implication of that? lack of tact and diarrhea mouths don't make you a defender of Igbo interest, it just makes you daft. People like that have only themselves to blame.

See how you downplayed IPOB. You don't promote peace by inviting terrorists to your home.

Since Nigerians learnt the word "terrorist" it has been grossly abused

Seun Kuti committed the offense on Yoruba soil, not on another man’s land. Seun Kuti did not declare hostility against a state while in that foreign state. If you want to see a proper comparison, you too should go and slap a policeman, let’s see how many seconds it will take before you are shot

you are confused, what is the similarities between the two cases kuti slap a police officer why the other one invite a terrorist group to come and fight, do you know what it means for you to identify yourself with a terrorist group? are you happy with the killing going on in the east?

They were both arrested in Lagos.. True!

Are their offences the same?... No!

One was arrested for a misconduct while the other was arrested for inciting "terrorism" and having intent to bring "terrorist organization" into Lagos; a State/Region he isn't native to but a mere visitor and tenant.

The man Frederick whatever ordeal will teach others like him a lesson to guard their actions and utterances on foreign soils outside theirs.

Imagine a Northern seriki in Anambra saying he will invite bandits or bokoharam to defend Northerners in the East because of senseless killings, maiming and burning of Northerners and Northern truck drivers by Igbos in the South East. By now petitions for don full everywhere with crocodile tears from East dwellers.

His host? You host a foreigner, you dont host a person in their own country.

Eze Ndigbo threatend nobody, he was talking about protecting lives and property at a time his people and businesses were being attacked in Lagos

Nigeria is a funny place where mere words uttered by a 70 year old man in his house amounts to terrorism worth detaing for months, but verbally and physically assaulting a Police officer gets you out in a week

Something is wrong somewhere

You seem ignorant of the law. Kid, different offences carry different chargese. Your ipob terrorist man, threatened the state, Lagos state, wants to fight the government of Lagos state, 2, your ipob terrorist supporting old man is guilty of conspiring with terrorists, 3 he is guilty of undermining the state. These are crimes against the state, more severe than crimes against individuals. Read the law.

IPOB has denied all allegations of violence snd nobody has shown any evidence they are involved violence, beyond accusations

How can someone be inciting violence if they are talking about saving life and property? Makes no sense

If a Seriki said the same in Anambra anout Boko haram, only God knows he would never have been arrested let alone charged to court

You seem very ignorant, ipob was proscribed by the Nigerian state, that proscription is still in effect, if you biafrans like call them savior etc, but they committed terrorists acts against Nigeria... killing Nigerian security operatives, attacking prison formations and releasing prisoners, killing people randomly, using bombs and grenades, mass murders, occupying the state and oppression of igbos, forming parallel government, all these are terrorists acts.

Your Eze crossed the line by threatening a state with IPOB terrorists terrorizing the South East.. Or you want to deny the Monday sit at homes and lock downs imposed by Igbos on your people?
That he is 70 means nothing, a terrorist apologist is a potential terrorist. He should face the music and dance.

Have you ever heard any Igbo man, home and abroad, call IPOB a terrorist group?

Hiw cime it is you non-Igbos, most of whom have never even been to the South East, that wants to tell us South Easterners about what is happening in our own land? Laughable

Some will be in Kafachan claiming to know more about what is happening in Enugu than me in Enugu

Jokers everywhere
