It has never been a fight between two dogs over a bone. It is bitterness against Tinubu and Lagos State. Lagos State government officially applied to Obasanjo to acquire that place for official purpose which everybody knows but Obasanjo rejected.

Fashola would have renovated that place for Lagos State government. That is why Lagos State government is very determined to see the case to conclusion. The JK Randle centre was released to LASG by FG and it still remains so.

The issue of Federal Secretariat is not elites or class struggling, it is not a case between FG and Lagos State government, it is not a case between Babalakin and LASG, it is an indirect case between Obasanjo and Lagos State government. That is why Obasanjo hates Tinubu with passion.

Of course I know of OBJ hatred. It is was never directed at Tinubu only. Go and check what that Chicken Farmer wrote about Chief Obafemi Awolowo, his disdain for Alhaji Lateef Jakande ànd many others. To be sure, check out he sold the 1,004 Flats to his in-laws. That disdain is age long especially for Leaders of Lagos. But I must admit that it was probably the ONLY ONE who stood up to him publicly others dealt with him subtly by outrightly ignoring him for the man crave attention.

That said, it was this ame backdrop he approached the issue of the Federal Secretariat: It MUST not get to the hands of LASG on his weird thinking that if it does, the Lagos Elites will corner it.

True it was not a case between Babalakin and LASG because Babalakin surely and legally acquired it. What Lagos is challenging is the First Right of Refusal that the FG denied it of exercising and if I remember rightly, the Court ruled that LASG should pay Babalakin some money (#11b-#13b) or so, I can't remember now.

If it was not an Elites grabbing things why would the Lagos side go with a Private bid of their own? The same Fashola was accused of paying huge Rents to Private individuals by moving some MDAs out of the Alausa Secretariat and Ambode issued a Directives that All must return to the State Secretariat. They did and we did not hear complaints of over crowded Alausa.

For me, they all have the ulterior motives hidden from all what we can see.

The Federal Government under Obasanjo sold the Federal Secretariat to their people while Lagos State is a tenant in many places in Lagos.

You should have found out from the PDP agent that bought the buildings what happened that it became dilapidated.

Wale Babalakin bought it and was converting it to block of flats for rent, only God know why and how Lagos state claimed the building should be handed over to the state government.

It became a subject of litigation and that stalled the property till now.

Are you personally proud of the current look of that magnificent building?
