The V.I and Ikoyi you see today with skyscrapers and multi-million dollar investments were sleepy residential area before Tinubu opened them up and convinced companies and investors to move in.

Ahmadu Bello way was on the verge of being washed away before Tinubu made a decisive move to Sandfill the ocean threat and turn it to Eko Atlantic.

The whole Lekki axis was an unoccupied swamp before Tinubu opened it up, fast tracked the documentation of the lands there to encourage developers to invest there.

Nobody ever dreamt of Epe, till Tinubu included it in his 25yr plan.

The roads Tinubu constructed almost 20yrs ago are still standing without maintainance.

This is the new Lagos we talk about, not random infrastructure that moved people between existing settlements without the aim of expansion of development or to increase investment.

I agree he helped urbanized Lagos the more but to say he built Lagos is an insult to Babangida and Jakande in particular and the the whole nation in general

All I see in this thread are a bunch of pathetic losers with no ioata understanding of the word Development...

Development is not only defined by infrastructure or physical changes, it could be in GDP, Man power, Intellectual Capacity, Investment Attraction..

For example a foreign investor will be comfortable situating his business in Lagos rather than taking it to Anambra, Kano or Yanagoa....

When you want to criticize or make mockery of someone remember the remaining finger are pointing and laughing at you...

Ps... I don't belong to APC, PDP, LP, MTN or GSC as a matter of fact I don't have a Voters card....
All I know is we all buy rice and fuel the same price in the market, if political worms like you keep playing petty politics then it will only keep getting worst not for us but for you their supporters and dumb followers...

Abuja needs Nigeria to survive, Lagos does not need Nigeria to survive

Lagos is miles ahead. The only thing Abuja use better pass Lagos State is that, Abuja is the FCT.

And

Lagos is far safer than Abuja

God bless you. It is as if some are born with inferiority complex, poor man mentality and 'slave' programming.

Yorubas are not into claiming to be 'developers'. We want Tinubu to reform Nigeria and are uninterested in claiming to have developed Abuja or anywhere else outside SW Nigeria.

'Developer' chest besting has never ever being in our history and anyone wanting to now tag us with such is just an ethnocentric bigot with an Axe to grind against Yorubas.

Yorubas are cultured and gracious. We respect boundaries, respect others and know our place.

We are not perfect but we love our cultures and ourselves also. To that end, a Yoruba will always be more focused on improving his State and region of origin before ever going to brag he has 'developed' land and people outside his own State and region of origin.

Awolowo is ultimate proof of this reality about Yorubas.

Azikiwe was obsessed with being "Zik of Africa", seeking dominance of land and people outside Igboland when he had not addressed the challenges of Igbos in their land.

In contrast, Awolowo was empowering Yorubas in their land and region with free and quality education plus socio-economic and infrastructural greatness.

This thread just show some people, always primed to attack others rather than address their own flaws and failings, will never learn.
