For some reasons, I don’t consider Pep as an exceptional coach like the media portrayed. Any manager to have coached City since the Arab owner took over had always won the EPL. Mancini did, Pellegrini did, unluckily they had just three years each. It took Pep 7yrs to win it with City, it’s possible both previous managers would had done it if they were given same number of luxury years create, dynamite and recreate a stronger team.

The two previous managers built City and left a strong City side with the likes of Toure Yaya, Vincent Kompany, Aguero etc, so it’s safe to say Pep inherited a strong city side and built on it.

Pep is a great coach no doubt but certainly not a tactical genius as the likes of Klopp’s Liverpool, Mourinho’s Chelsea of 2004, and Ferguson’s UTD that created a mountain out of a molehill. For the past 7yrs at City he spent over a billion euros, no manager has spent such in a single spell in a team, so winning the UCL is the barest minimum.

Congratulations to City, and it’s safe to say the EPL is the new farmers league, the reason also is not because of Pep’s brilliance, it’s because football has died not only in England but the entire Europe and we have so many players with no passion but just for the weekly wages. The generation of Ferdinand, Vidic, Terry, Sketel, Puyol, Abidal, Evra, Cole, Henry, Kaka, Lampard, David Villa, Kompany, Chellini etc was the last generation of talent based and passion oriented football.
Photo speaks. Do your research wella before you cap for free likes next time. I could have ignored you cos im in a celebratory mood. No time for negative energy, just cry in peace. We dont care!!!

Pep is greater than saf (local champion), he collect beating wella before he retired .

Pep is the goat of all coaches. Numbers and stats don't lie

Pep is the only Manager in history to win two trebles (with UCL) and obviously the only one to win trebles with 2 different teams. He also won a third domestic treble.

But the trophies are only a crowning moment. More importantly, Pep has revolutionized football.

Yesterday, Inter's best could still not match City's worst performance of 2023 which testifies to the extremely high level Pep has taken City to.

And it's not about the money. He turned a team with Ake, Akanji, Stones, Grealish, Foden, Gundogan, Dias, Foden who all are just average or decently good players individually into collective monsters. Some other team spent 600million pounds just to achieve 12th position.

All that being said, this City team is still yet to reach the level of control, fearsomeness and utter domination that Barca 2008 - 2012 team had. That team remains the benchmark for the highest level of club football.

Pls give Pep his Ballon D'or already!
God bless you for this epistle bro. Pep truly revolutionized modern football in so many ways: almost every team plays with a sweeper keeper now, see the ridiculous records he has set in the league with his team , remember how Liverpool ended te league with 97 fking points and still didn't win the league because pep won with 1 point ( twice oh ).
That Barca team is still the benchmark for modern football ,and it was set by no other person than pep. Imagine a team so good them replicated it the success at the Euro and world cup.
Pep deserves every fuckn accolade abeg

People like u think in one direction.

You think football is linear??

Don't you know there are flukes in football.

Where were all the big teams when Leicester city came from relegation and won the league??

Why didn't they get close to d league again, they're even relegated grin

Where is de Matteo that won the fluke champions league for Chelsea.

When you call someone or a coach great, it's about consistency, not a one time fluke undecided

Pep has done it over and over again, the first and only manager to win a treble twice (including the UCL).

The only manager that has won a treble in England competition... But hate makes you people blind.

First, you haters said he was a local champion cheesy, now he proved y'all wrong.

Now you're claiming he spent a lot of money while Man united, Chelsea have spent more than him since he came to England with nothing to show for it.

Arsenal have spent very close to what Pep spent with still nothing to show for.

Pep has won 14 trophies with city, yet bitter-hate filled fellows like you are still doubting.

And for Bayern, he took them to d semi final more than twice, and could have won it then if not for peak Ronaldo (Madrid) and Messi (Barcelona).

No let hate kill you, the man is crested his name on the sand of times and history will forever remember him as one of the greatest coaches if not the greatest when it comes to football.

He has left his mark on england. And if he stays longer, he's going to scatter your legendary Ferguson's record and set his own. tongue

This is indeed the summary of the whole stuff

Football has really died truly

I remember the era of Ferdinand, vidic, maldini, seedorf, David's, Ronaldinho, nedved, Kaka, Figo, zidane, Henry Ronaldo, Rooney, Messi etc

There is no hunger anymore
And players are being played astronomical amount of wages

Maybe there will be a decline or better stars will emerge, hopefully.

You know nothing about football for rating wing play above midfield play. Pep starting building attack from the GK, started false 9,starting defending by ball possession, this season, he made Stones, a CB versatile, u can't predict Pep, his a football genius, his blessed. I'm a Chelsea fan, Ake was a Chelsea reject, KDB was a Chelsea reject, Pep moulded them and now u call them world class players who helped Pep? I don't know how u guys watch football aswerugad

well salah was a Chelsea reject ..

point is, dude is right .. I might not rate KLOPP above pep but they are at par..

KLOPP is just unlucky he isn't backed by Arab money unlike pep .

When next you want to comment, calm down and read to understand first. I never alluded that wing play is better than midfield play. Who would say that? Midfield is the most important part of a football team.

What I was saying is that Klopp mixes his style from different parts of the pitch namely wing, midfield, strikers, individual techniques and high press. Whereas Guardiola majors mostly on midfield. What is there not to understand??

De Bruyne has always been atalented player right from his days at Genk but game time due to seniors above him in the Chelsea team and outright mismanagement by Mourinho threw him away. Okay, if you only give the credit to Guardiola, then what would you say about guys like Mo Salah, Cuadrado et al who were also shown the exit door by Chelsea yet still proved their worth elsewhere?

Even that of Ake, he was always going to be a promising player but Chelsea's player management made him go away. Before a player like De Bruyne and Ake can turn out this good, there must have be elements of inhere football talent.

Sadio Mane that was well utilised by Klopp much more than when he was at Southampton and now at Bayern Munich, what would you say about him and Klopp?
