Change is fixed.

But that apart, what's the reason why most drivers want you to order offline?
to keep all the money without the company knowing

But when Jonathan removed it few years ago your people marched the streets and labelled him all sorts. Fuel was going to sell for 180/ltr had Jona been allowed to remove it when he wanted to. This same Thiefnubuu that is president today also marched in protest of its removal. Hypocrites.

My eyes were opened to how damaging fuel subsidy was in 2011

Take your abuse elsewhere.

Tinubu is working. Ndi Ara. By the time Tinubu deal with his tribal bigots they will use rod to Stine him at sight. And now it is clear that Dangote refinary is not even ready until next year and yet they rush to remove subsidy and his dead fans are praising him in tribalism.

Hope you are not an APC member? Because your cry will be sweet to the ear if you are. How can Buhari increase fuel price from 86.5 naira to 200 naira without removing subsidy? And you guys kicked against 140 naira. Now Tinubu removed and took the price to 540naira. No be die?

Atleast...better than the 200% insane increase the drivers are advocating for...

I don't understand how they expect Uber to yield to such advise, when their own profit is hinged on numbers of rides booked per day..

200% increase will definitely drive commuters away and less profit for Uber...

Uber is not compulsory for drivers...

If the profit margin is not enough...

Stop being their driver.

Petrol rose from 190 to 530. 200% increase is not a bad request.
What uber granted is still poor.

Uber gives the drivers free petrol?

It's not compulsory to be a Uber driver, especially if it's nolonger profitable.

Uber are investors...they can't increase their fare to drive away commuters.

In our economy where purchasing power of citizens is going down....only very very few will be able to afford a 200% fare increase from Uber.

Have you thought of why people like Peace Mass Transit refused to hike their own fare? Have you seen any public transport fare going up by 200%

The reason is simple...you are free to hike your price ..but you can't hike above people's purchasing Power....they will simply abandon your services

Still reasonable...
...but the part that customers will N25 per minute is a no-no for me.
How will this be calculated in a holdup?

Genuine question.

Is the Driver the cause of the hold-up?
There are peak periods when people predict when there will be traffic buildup in some certain areas.

Why should the driver be made to bear the cost by burning more fuel in traffic for a trip where the rider knows there will be traffic in that route at that period?

I have seen where riders cancel or make a driver end a trip in traffic. They come down and find alternative means but the driver is stuck in the traffic and has to find his way out.

I mean, I am just saying that we should also be considerate. These Drivers are also humans. If i know there will be traffic on a route at a certain time, instead of taking uber or bolt or whatever when i know ill pay more, i will find an alternative like taking bike or something. I dont know how it works in your area though.

I love this suffering

If not for tribalism when Jonathan removed subsidy that was the best time because things were cheap.
But hell no they ruined the plan because of tribalism
Now tinubu remove it despite the high cost of things nobody came out to protest
Nlc north and nlc south west says they won't participate in the protest

Lets see where tribalism will lead us to
Ya all know the funny thing price of fuel will never come down and dangote refinery will never refine anything not now not even two years coming
The average Nigerian man is a coward. Them go see tribalism chop belle full.
