The Iri-ji (New Yam) festival is the celebration of the culmination of a work cycle and the beginning of another. It is a time of thanksgiving to God for making the farm yields possible and praying for good yields next planting season.

It is one of the most significant festivals amongst the Igbo tribe in Nigeria and is celebrated in all corners of the globe.

On Saturday 15th October The Igbo Cultural Support Network (ICSN) - a Nigerian youth organisation - cordially invites you to join in our Iri-Ji Festival

On the night there will be;

-Cultural presentation, a short play, traditional masquerade, ICSN Ladies Dance, comedians and special performances from the internationally renowned dancers Adanta and Egwu Ogaranya

-A chance to sample the finest yam and rice dishes, as well as delicacies such as Chin Chin, Puff Puff, Isiewu and Abacha

-An after party until the early hours, with DJ Ify on the decks, playing the best in Afrobeats, RnB, Hip Hop and Old School Classics

- A prize for the best dressed male and female, and more besides
