Lagos will be gone within the next fifteen years...the entire Lekki-Ajah down to Dangote's holdings in Ibeju. I bet the refinery and port complex are way higher than sea level though.

Y'all can forget about Parkview, old Ikoyi and the greater part of Victoria Island too; the Chagourys and their tenants will use helicopters to access Atlantic City, they will rename it 'New Lagos'cheesy

If lagos is not gone in d next 15 years like u said then its u and ur family that will be gone

It will cost the federal government little or nothing to find ways to take control of flooding away from the affected states in Nigeria but as usual, they'll always be issuing warning with their hands tied up tongue

I am sure you don't understand the nature of these floods. These places are near water ways where heavy down pour from a large catchment area will gather and discharge. The amount of water expected is too much for the natural water channel to contain which leads to flood which is usually a flash flood. It occurs once or twice a year. It's not cheap to control that amount of water.

The earlier they start relocating to highlands the better. Ogun o kin ba aro o.

This warning should be widely disseminated and announced frequently on radio, TV and town criers for everyone in those areas to hear.

Last year's flooding was very terrible in Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa that it sacked Ex President GEJ from his Bayelsa village and many people sacked from their villages by the heavy floods were living in camps as internally displaced refugees being catered for by the Armed Forces, NEMA and state govts.

Since Delta is on that list, Bayelsa and Rivers should be at alert too.
Check my signature for free stuffs!

Ex-President Jonathan failed to use the opportunity he had as President of Nigeria to build gigantic dams to protect flooded community from being endangered by the flood.

He was busy building Amajiri school just to pacify the northerners but they still rejected him in the presidential election.

EX- PRESIDENT JONATHAN WAS NOT AN INTELLIGENT LEADER.

He lost the opportinity to build his own home as President of Nigeria.

if you live in affected areas, know that the flood will be man made, and right now before they send the rain, they will be blocking all the drainage in the areas they want to flood cause they want the people to leave that land .

So you can help your self by inspecting your drains, and be very highly suspicious of any people you see doing public works between everything from your house to the river.

When they are not using inflation and terrorists, they use forest fire and flood, and often even war and farming starvation.

As we speak they will be blocking all the drainage , so inspect your, create vigilante temas to secure your drianage and ability to fight govt made forest fire with the right water irrigation.

How many times in history of Nigeria you hear of flood in northern Nigeria, a place where cattle herders having been coming south to feed thier flock cause its so dry up north , So the flood they talking about is the one they want to create,
And the water will come in form of man made rain by cloud seeding and gigantic ships at sea that pump sea water into the wind going to the target area, meanwhile on the ground they will block all your drains.

Take control of your drainage channels with vigilantes if you have to, the same vigilantes that have to defend your community from all thier civil servant bandits, kidnappers and terrorists .

Cameroon's Lagdo Dam is coming.

I dedicate β€œLife Goes On” by MJG & 8 Ball to potential victims of this impending flood. Solemn jam!

This Advisory is for the Peak period of the Annual Raining Season forecast.

The Cameroon Lagdo Dam floodings is usually around early September to Mid-September. That is when they release excess water from the Dam to avoid Bursts. And it usually affects Coastal Towns and Settlements along Rivers (Benue River specifically) and other estuaries linked to River Benue.

Lagos is extremely prone to flood. Lagos is below sea level, coupled with poor drainage system.
Whats your state? The same lagos you guys tagged overrated. But you guys keep coming to my state like mosquitoes 🦟

The same USA have found solution to that of Houston every year, most parts of Europe including Britain, France etc suffer same faith every year.

But you will prefer to castigate your own country.
