Today, Monday the 17th day of July 2023 marked the beginning of the Central Bank of Nigeria Staff football competition, with Anambra hosting some of the zonal derby at the Awka Township Stadium. The Port Harcourt and Owerri branch of the CBN had a fierce contest to the admiration of spectators. The hosting of the opening games of the CBN football competition in Anambra in spite of the projected stories of insecurity is a strong indication that the Government has not only reclaimed the terrain, but emboldened the people to go about their normal activities on any day without fear of intimidation by criminal elements.
