The question you should ask is:

Who are those accusing this man of diabolical powers?
Is it those outside his church or his own m members?

Something like that happened to Jesus in his days too but it was his enemies that were saying it not his own followers.
Therefore if it's members of this man's church that are saying all these while they're still worshiping with him then it means that's what he sowed in them, he infused in them the love of money and since he's the only one making the money through the religion they're trying to oust him from the position so that others may come in to eat the cake but as they can't remove him through diabolical means they're now accusing him of the same thing he implanted in their hearts. Galatians 6:7
If there's no money making involved nobody from the same church will accuse him! 1Timothy 6:9-10
