Appointments: APC Group Questions Tinubu Over Failure to Reward Fani-Kayode

The All Progressives Congress Youths for Good Governance (APCYGG) have raised questions on reasons President Bola Ahmed Tinubu failed to reward former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode despite his doggedness and invaluable contributions during the campaigns across the country.

According to the group, it is obvious that President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet is set without several Frontline political bigwigs that stake their lives for the party's resounding electoral victory.

For the group ,it is a wrong political signal, noting that implication of such action are impending crack and eventual disharmony within ranks of formidable party pillars and campaign anchors, who have the capacity to fight potential threats from opposition any day.

Recalled that the president had transmitted the first and second batch list of Ministerial nominees to the upper chamber of the National Assembly for screening with the final list containing 45 names that was read on the floor of the Senate by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

In a statement signed by Comrade Hassan Aliyu,the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Youth for Good Governance, said it disheartening that members of the opposition trolled Chief Fani-Kayode over his failure to make the Ministerial lists.

The statement further reads: "We have carefully studied and discovered that among those nominated,nobody was more abused,insulted, and traumatized like Fani-Kayode.

"We also recalled how he was threatened by the DSS,Police and the Army that accused him of treason as well as how he suffered physically and psychologically.

"We are fully aware of what you went through for the sake of Tinubu during the campaigns .But we are just watching . In this era of political intrigues , it's unwise to use and dump foot soldiers. It's no doubt a grievous mistake, which if not corrected now will caused problems in future. "

However , the group which lauded Fani-Kayode for high sense of maturity and compucture , expressed optimism that the former aviation minister, who has congratulated the all screened nominees, will surely be rewarded by God for his hard work; tenacity and doggedness.

"That over 50 Prominent APC Members who contributed a lot during 2023 Election across the 36 States are yet to be rewarded. The big question is ,How would President Tinubu compensate these People?"

While calling President Tinubu to reconsider rewarding the bigwigs who worked and fought his election victory, the APC youth urged Fani-Kayode to remain calm and continue to contribute his quota to progress and development of APC and Nigeria.
