Seplat Energy Plc said one person died following the collapse of its ‘Majestic’ oil rig near Ovhor in Delta State.

The oil company disclosed this on Tuesday in a statement on its official X, formerly Twitter handle.

It stated that 92 of the 96-member crew were accounted for and safe.

The company added that three of its crew members are missing.

“[b]Seplat Energy regrets to announce a serious incident on the Depthwise swamp drilling rig “Majestic” early this morning. Seplat, the operator of the SEPLAT/NNPCL joint venture, contracted the rig.

“It was in transit to its planned drilling location at Ovhor in Delta State when it capsized.

“92 of the 96-member crew are accounted for and safe. However, tragically one fatality occurred during the incident, while three other rig personnel are still missing”, the company wrote

You guys can be very foolish. So because you hate the present government, you now celebrate evil. Is Tinubu the president of US that saw a city(Maui) in Hawaii completely destroy with over 1,000 people missing and over a hundred bodies recovered. For the opposition (PDP, LP & others) we mustn't condemn everything the govt does, most especially the Obidients., Learn to criticise the bad ones and appreciate the good ones. To Tinubu supporters, you mustn't praise everything Tinubu does because you want to spite the opposition, please criticise when the government does wrong and praise the government when it does the right thing. That's the only way we can move this country forward.

I don’t want to believe this is due to bad construction or corruption.
This probably be accident, which can happened irrespective of how cautious you’re…
Where Nigeria go happen na the search party… probably no proper equipment to carry out search or help the casualties.

As for me, my believe is you'll die when your time is up!

Your death might be through your carelessness or otherwise as you might just sleep and never wake up!

It doesn't depend on age not present health status!

I have seen a wife who's emaciated and living with stroke for a couple of years. Many thought she won't last long but she's still alive. The husband that was more alive than her has died!

May Nigeria work for us all!
