Hi all,

I was recently trolling through the beautiful pictures of Lagos via http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1147683&page=12

How much would it cost to set-up parking structures in Lagos? Would people pay for parking?

Yes.
We will pay for Parking. But a few caveats.
Parking in Lagos is a value added service that most organisations provide for free. Mostly.
The whole of Lagos island is dotted with financial/Trading institutions. They provide parking for Executive & Management staff & selected clientele. Lower staff are bused in & out.
This wont change for a while.

With new developments in Transport Infrastructure-Read LAMATA- An avenue has been provided for private capital & enterprise to provide parking around transportation nodes. Go to LAMATA website for more info on this.
Points to note will be price competitiveness( Duration of ROI), Location & Design ingenuity(With design ingenuity, Large space is not a Prerequisite)
Lastly, U'll be a pioneer. Government interface would be high. Skills in Government Relations will be needed.

Cost??
Should be the least concern for now. If U get the right mix of location/first starter advantage, the plan will be funded commercially.
My Tuppence.
