How is this better than the old structure. This one is even a recurrent expenditure. The cost of the running water in a state without pipe borne water is ridiculous

Dshocker:
For a state to destroy a monument, all because it has Christian inscription on it is totally appalling and despicable.

It wasn't because of a Christian inscription. That's just an excuse. It was because of the feud between Ganduje and Kwankwaso. Markets, hotels, etc were demolished because of this feud.

Yes, i know, but using that as an excuse shows their affection towards Christians

The fountain makes more aesthetic sense tbh... Still, the waste of scarce funds makes little sense, not to mention the fact that the demolition was needless and plain stupid.

Recently,I've been seeing your posts and other activity here on nairaland.Lol,your life is miserable, you do nothing but spreading insults, hate and blasphemous contents to hurt the muslims on nairaland.
That why you live a depressing and wretched life.you got nothing to do to help yourself and you're growing older everyday, your heart is filled with nothing but an irreristable urge to provoke muslims
Better get something beneficial to do for yourself or for other people and stop behaving like a frustrated outcast and disgracing yourself on forums.Seems like you got nothing to do to help your future

I prefer the previous design. Kano is in the hands of another clown worst than Ganduje.

They believe ganduje buried some fetish stuff under the monument, nothing more

When you deliberately choose to call a sword a cross undecided grin grin

Ganduje and cross grin grin

This is not the only thing Ganduje built that was demolished, those ones get cross too grin

If you ask me, this is more beautiful than the first, however we all know that there is money in Nigeria, the government just chose to impoverish Nigerians

But one day go be one day!!!
Which beautiful! undecided
The demolished one is way more practical & sustainable in the long run. Give this water fountain 6 months top & it will turn dilapidated roundabout, an eyesore. They cannot maintain this rubbish sad

Wasteful.... In as much as Ganduje was called all sorts of names, we saw the projects he did in Kano.... He made people who were not Muslims or Northerners desire to go to Kano unlike this new one
Ganduje really performed well as a Governor. This is why the dollar video didn’t affect him much, even tho it put a dent on him!

Looks better than the prehistoric structure that was demolished.

The excuse that the former monument had a sign of cross on it was just to douse any eyebrow raising the as he knows most of his citizen are religious intolerant. Ganduje also almost erased all Kwankwanso legacy project in Kano state, so if you ask me I'll say Kabir is just paying Ganduje in his own coin, but at the acclaimed scarce state resources? It's a No no for me.

The fountain is more modern looking than the monument. However, I do not support the demolition

Nigerians sometimes overlook long-term planning. Do you believe this water fountain can maintain its beauty without consistent electricity and water supply in a few months? Building isn't just about aesthetics; it's about ensuring sustainability and proper maintenance.

This contributes to the multitude of failed structures in Nigeria. Our leaders imitate wealthy nations, ignoring the need for foresight and post-commissioning sustainability. The previous, demolished structure was more practical, sustainable, and demanded less maintenance.
