PRESS RELEASE
PEPT JUDGMENT: NPF STRENGHTENS DEPLOYMENT, REITERATES COMMITMENT TO PROTECTION OF LIVES, PROPERTY

Warns Mischief Makers Against Misinformation, Unguided Utterances
In its bid to fortify security architecture and forestall any breakdown of law and order across the country as a result of the forthcoming Presidential Election Petition Tribunal Judgment scheduled to be passed on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Nigeria Police Force has strengthened its deployment across the length and breadth of Nigeria. The Police wish to reiterate the commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the judgement.

The NPF has diligently emplaced all necessary deployments and security measures during this critical period as officers and men are fully prepared to maintain order and enforce laws while respecting the rights and freedoms of all citizens.

Furthermore, the NPF strongly cautions all individuals, including mischief makers and political gladiators, to be cautious in their actions and statements as the Force will not condone activities capable of inciting violence or causing a descent into anarchy. It is imperative for all citizens to embrace peace and maintain calm, regardless of their political affiliations, to ensure a peaceful and secure environment.

The Nigeria Police Force is dedicated to its duty of protecting and serving the Nigerian people and is committed to carrying out these roles with professionalism, impartiality, and utmost dedication. Together, we can ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all during this period.

ACP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI, mnipr, mipra,
Force Public Relations Officer,
Force Headquarters,

The police cannot silent the opposition. Anything short of sacking Ebola might spell doom for Nigeria.

SMH.

You are beyond redemption, allow the court to carry out it's process peacefully, threatening everyone is a very stupid strategy

There is something the police themselves know. Obi supporters are not like supporters of Buhari that went on a rampage killing over 800people when Buhari lost the 2011 elections. No violence will happen no matter what happens.

They are not like the party who claimed they will declare a parallel state if they don't win in 2015.

Nor the person who said election observers will go back in body bags

They will not call for violence nor anarchy.

But you can't stop their freedom of speech which is legal under Democracy

That I think you can't stop

Protests are welcome.

However, any disruptive disobedience should be dealt with

Theyโ€™re already threatening the citizen. Those that are supposed to protect the citizens are now combining with dirty politicians to intimidate their families, friends and love ones. Oga police, how much is your salary? How do your wives at home manage to survive and also to your children? How are you fairing at home? Why canโ€™t you speak the truth than supporting the evil politicians to oppress their principles. Thank God say na all of una go suffer am. Una Oga go Dey house Dey enjoy, una go Dey suffer for street with the citizens
