The Supreme Court Of Nigeria has spoken on the fire outbreak that happened this morning at one of the sections of the apex court. In an interview by AIT after the incident, the director of press and information, Dr. Festus Akande stated that the fire was caused by an electrical problems and that the staff were able to douse it with the use of fire extinguishers. Asked about documents involved in the fire, Dr. Festus Akande mentioned that the supreme court has an e-library where every hardcopy documents are backed up. He revealed that even if any document was burnt in the fire incident, they can be easily replaced. He also made it known that no life was lost during the incident. Before nko? Should the SC still be using archaic methods of keeping records in the 21st century. And those records should be kept offline to avoid hacking and undue manipulations. |
