EDO 2024 Polls: Why Engr. Ikhine Should Run

It is getting clearer by the day that the three major political parties in the state, namely, PDP, APC and LP are poised to present formidable candidates for the Edo 2024 Governorship election. Also, some persons whose acceptability cut across the three Senatorial Districts will be an added advantage. The area of competency and trust will not be swept aside in any political party that wants to win next year's election in Edo State.

From investigation, so far by The Groove Watch News, Engr. Gideon Ikhine's name keeps coming up as someone who possesses the qualities mentioned above.

Engr. Ikhine is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC known as the "Game Changer" and one of the pillars of the party in Edo State. If the political permutations presently going on in the state is something to rely upon, it simply means that the next Governor will come from Edo Central where Gideon Ikhine hails from.

Ikhine was an aspirant in the last Edo 2020 Governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where he was able to articulate the vision he has for Edo people before he was pressured to step down for Governor Godwin Obaseki by the leaders of the party which he complied with without grudges.

With this submission it is very obvious that APC already has someone in the party that can win election for them. It will then be wise for the stakeholders in the party to begin to rally around Gideon Ikhine so that the party can commence mobilization of Edo people towards next year's Governorship election.

Our investigation, also indicated that Ikhine has a vision for Edo people that will boost the economy of the state which will eventually bring in investors who will invest massively to create jobs for the teeming youths in the state who are coming out of the University and other higher institutions of learning yearly.

Ikhine has since passed the test of competency and trust among Edo people, therefore lets encourage him to join the race to enable him bring his vision of governance on board.

We only pray that he heeds the calls coming from all directions across Edo State for him to join the Governorship race to give the people the best of governance that will bring good development to all nooks and crannies of Edo State.
