The deposition by the CSU registrar, Carl Westberg, did not explicitly say that Tinubu forged his certificate. However, Westberg did testify that the certificate that Tinubu submitted to INEC was different from the certificates that CSU issued in 1979, when Tinubu graduated. Westberg also testified that the certificate that Tinubu submitted to INEC had a number of inconsistencies, including a different date (1979) and a different signature from the registrar at the time.

Based on this testimony, some people have concluded that Tinubu forged his certificate. However, it is also possible that the certificate that Tinubu submitted to INEC is simply a replacement certificate that was issued to him by CSU at a later date. CSU has said that it does not have a copy of the original certificate that was issued to Tinubu in 1979, so it is difficult to say for sure whether or not the certificate that he submitted to INEC is a forgery.

Ultimately, it is up to a court of law to decide whether or not Tinubu forged his certificate. The CSU registrar's deposition is just one piece of evidence that could be considered in such a case.

Every day different threads just to explain for the certificate forger..

Tinubu went to cyber cafe to print a certificate and submitted to INEC. Tinubu never collected his certificate from CSU because he didn't graduate, he even went ahead to give himself first class accountant of business Administration..
CSU said they didn't issue any certificate to him so that's forgery

The CSU registrar never said anything about a certificate been forged.

He however clearly claimed ignorance of the certificate presented to inec & agreed that there were discrepancies in what should & should not be in the certificate depending on the year it was issued or reissued.

Pages 62-68 of the court transcript was very revealing.

Bat's case is akin to the owner of a land who has misplaced his C of O. Instead of going back to the authorities to get another C of O, goes to a graphic artist & creates another CoO & starts parading that as evidence of owning the property. However, while the document attests to the accuracy of ownership, the signatories contained therein are inaccurate & do not march the authorised signatories for that time period.

Ego, the CofO is a forged document as it was not gotten through the right process & contains erroneous information as per the signatories.

To push it further, it is one thing to verify studentship & another to certify a certificate. If a certificate is sent to a school to verify, if it is fake, it will be labelled as fake CERTIFICATE, even if the studentship & grade can be affirmed.

This is why lawyers make money. You expect them to say Tinubu forged certificate when they were not there. They are not stupid. This whole debacle shows why education is important in Nigeria but to destroy a nation, politicians go for education first. In court, you only respond to what you can prove.

Put it this way, the CSU cannot say Tinubu forged his certificate but the CSU can say they do not know how a Tinubu got his certificate. Do you see how they have answered what they can defend?

They are the ones who issue certificates but they can tell which they issued and the ones they did not.

Ordinariy Nigerians will suffer for this thing than any of the politicians. When you guys start losing opportunities just because of what someone has done, your eye go open. All the politicians will come and go. Ask yourself, how will this affect me?
