This ambitious project, envisioned to be the largest of its kind in Africa, is a testament to the dedication of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's administration to the creative sector. The announcement was made by Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, who revealed that this groundbreaking event symbolizes a new era of prosperity and innovation for Lagos State. The Lagos Film City, stretching across 100 hectares of land, aims to stimulate economic growth by offering employment opportunities to the nation's youth. It will be equipped with cutting-edge studios to support television, radio, and film production from pre-production to post-production and distribution, among other functions.
