Or maybe that’s a way for him to remind them that he still dey o😏

Ndi ala!
It's people like you who are part of the problem, attacking the messenger instead of the message. Labour party members not part of the legislators who want to share in the 1. 5 billions or is tinubu a senator or a Nass member? Abeg make una dey try use una brain small instead be emotional every single time.

If all countries and financial institutions were spending recklessly with zero plans for the immediate and coming generation,I wonder who Nigeria will look up to for all this incessant loans we are accumulating.Sometimes I just wonder what kind of spell our leaders are under because inspite of human and natural resources nature bestowed on us ,we still find ourselves in this quagmire.

"Citizens of Nigeria, times are hard and will get harder, we implore you to be patient with us and tighten your belt for more shege".

Meanwhile, they borrow billions of dollars and spend it on suvs for themselves. Isn't that something?

That is one of d reason why everyone is crying out on who is d president and d means he use to enter, if u as a president have any skeleton in your cupboard, through out your tenure , u will either be sharing money , appointing people from d power brokers so that they don't work against u which are mostly corrupt recircled leaders or planning how to borrow more money for sharing.
Biggest oil producer in d continent yet we are dieing in poverty, for people that support and allowed us to still enter into this circle that everyone already know d out come God will punish all of u.
To confirm ministers 2m each and more shared, to keep quiet during this tribunal time, motor and some money shared, meanwhile d key board warriors that are ready to kill for them get nothing except buying fuel and food at a very costly price, no be mumu and foolishness be this , who do us Africans

1. I AGREE WITH MOGHALU

2.However, the thing is, the SUV's for all the Nigerian NA members all together would cost 82 Million dollars. The loan is 1.5 bn dollars. 82 million dollars is a drop in that ocean

Doublespeak at its worst. Everything else you have said, ostensibly in support of more prudent public spending, is negated by this non-point of yours.

Nigeria is such a anyhow country. You intend to borrow money to buy SUVs for those who are belleful already. How does this even make sense?

Despite that, some people here will still support "their brother" no matter what he does. Nigeria is doomed to fail.

3.As far as we know, the money for the cars is not likely to come from the loan. Loans technically speaking come with conditions.

4.Where I agree with Moghalu in spirit is

1) We don't have enough money to spend on new cars anyway

2.The optics is bad really

3) An SUV cannot cost as much as they are quoting really.
Do you understand that $82m N82bn is about 50% of annual budget of most states in Naija?

Una no dey get respect for money at all.. no wonder our leaders are squander maniacs

Okay, let's rephrase what I mean

1.The comment by Moghalu implies that the money for the cars would come from the loan. In all the reports on the loan, there is no indication that the money for the cars is coming from the loan

2.The comment also implies the money for the loan would all be squandered on the cars. No it won't assuming that the loan is misdirected to the cars.

Yes, as far as I am concerned this APC government is corrupt. But let's not oppose or criticise this APC government by telling lies. Simple.

So how’s $1.5bn going to be spent? What projects? How’s public scrutiny of borrowed funds that will be collateralized with our common wealth, unpatriotic?

Yeah, and we have always been borrowing because what we earn from oil is not enough to meet all our needs.

At the end of the day, that's why I tell you guys that the current parties don't have what it takes to take us to where we need to be...a nation that has a diversified economy. They talk about it all the time, but once in office, they do not take the hard decisions needed to make us diversified enough to at the very least reduce borrowing to a mininum.

Better ask your leaders the hard questions, not me. I also have the same questions, including why we ain't taking the hard decisions.
