The sudden spate of snatched cars in Nigeria is becoming alarming.

I pray your friend's car is recovered, and he's not hurt.

I attended Lautech Ogbomosho and the under-G road was secondary then-we made use of the Ogbomoso-Ilorin road. Under-G was for when you do not have money topay T-fare (trek-path). I hate to hear such of my school and for you seedord247, its unfortunate you speak this way. It is not your business if someone decides to keep a '97' 0r '70' car as long as he is comfortable with it. Soemone with a peugeot 504 bequetted to him and seen as a heirloom has the right to use it and if stolen has the right to report in forums like this.

Change the subject
Emphasize friend abducted and his car snatched too.
Lets try to add more premium to human life than property.

of what use is the car to them when most of them have either trackers or insurance covers, silly robbers, anyways if your friend behaves himself, he will be the latest witness in the next robbery scene.
nothing to worry about. he is coming home

Yesterday was terrible here in under G. ogbomoso yesternight around 10pm.I was scared when i heard the sound of real gun not like police gun.i mean it was like a firm.i was just shaking on my bed looking for where to escape in case they decide to branch at my hostel.student are just rushing to different place of hidding.i thank God i did not attempt going for night class yesternight and did not stay late.i learnt later this morning that two people are killed,a restaurant security and a bike man.cars were stolen .the police later came about 30 minute after the incident.i just have to rush inside in time today cause am still scared of yesternight experience.

I have just graduated and am waiting for call up letter next year. Last week i was at ipaja with my car when a man of God waved for a help to iyanu paja. I gladly stopped to assist him. On the way, the man of God told me he has no money to offer me but a good advice. He told me that my type of car Toyota Camry 2001 v6 is the target of must car snatchers. He advised me to stop using the car until ember month is over.To be honest with you all i have packed my car and i now go out with public transport. No day has past without a toyota car being snatched. It seems am gonna sell this car to buy a kabukabu, so that this robbers will not see me

This topic should have been: "Man Kidnapped at Gun point" and not "Car snatched at gun point".

Unfortunately, this small statement shows why our society is the way it is. Our value lies in possessions, not in people. This is why the car is more important than the person driving it. Brazilian hair is more important than paying fees to get an education. Cash in hand is more important to the politician than constructing the road which serves thousands of people. Until our thinking changes, we are destined to suffer. The posts below also confirm our misplaced priorities:

This is why we advise everyone to get our GSM/GPRS Tracking device installed.

We have proven records of car theft recoveries and would have made the recovery of this car a snap.

Please install a tracker today and let's frustrate car jackers.

For further information call me on 08186040385.
Re: 2008/2009 Toyota Corolla Snatched At Gunpoint In Ogbomosho by Nobody: 8:41am On Oct 26, 2011
your friend's 2008/09 Corolla has a tracker, right?
if not, he is the dumbest man alive.
A tracker could be as cheap as N50k compared to the cost of a car sold at N2.5Million

I cant imagine stingy ppl with expensive ride without a single tracker.

@expensive: you are being shallow minded to ask y someone should use a 2008 corolla in 2011. He could be working, his folks could afford it. The list are endless. Be optimistic until u have an insight to the person's personality.
Re: 2008/2009 Toyota Corolla Snatched At Gunpoint In Ogbomosho by taosola(m): 11:54am On Oct 26, 2011
It is a pity that people will have to work hard for months and years to save up to buy a car at whatever the price might be. Some people even get money from cooperatives (on loans) to buy their exotic cars only for others to come and snatch away the cars within few seconds.

Please kindly install a car tracker into your vehicle immediately you buy one before you use it. It will cost you less than 5% of the money you used to buy the car to secure it with the tracker.

Call Sola now on 08022566448 08039127604 for BestTracker or visit http://www.therealexcellence.com/products/carsecurity.php for more information
