sammysammy111: You probably did not read everything up there. They're all business men. By the time BUA buys trucks, fuel them and pay drivers and loaders salary, he will be selling at same price as Dangote. Many of you get easily deceived that Dangote is ripping you off, why dont you go to Ewekoro and get elephant cement direct to your site instead of shouting Dangote's name upandan. |

budaatum: Bua needs to reduce its price from N3,500 to 2,500 from the factory for the price to come down |

grandstar: Really? I guess they can reduce staff pay so they don't lose. They should also reduce their electric bill and use free resources so they can give it away free. 1 Like |

budaatum: It is their profit margins they need to reduce. Nigerian cement manufacturers have extremely fat profit margins because cement importation is banned. 2 Likes 1 Share |

grandstar: I'm going to need evidence of that "fat profit" please, considering the huge energy and loan costs. I'll look for their annual report, but if you have it already I'd be grateful. |

Hendrixky:I think the problem here is lack of potential millionaires who are ready to invest and buy to supply wide at the new price. trust me the turnover could be ground breaking to establishing one a full time stable millionaire. the old greedy lots would have their losses even bigger.. there's no humanity in business only opportunity. |

We did not understand what all this reduction means, reduction is not from 5200 to 3500 the ex factory of Bua cement before the reduction is 4050 so is just #500 reduction and they distribute it to their major distributor in that price which I believe they still not reduce the ex factory for the distributor because they paid for transporting it to them but if you wish to buy for 3500 come buy and you bear the transport fares, ex factory means end you buy and provide transportation fare, Rabiu should have stated clearly the ex factory price before the reduction,he only stated that he slash it to 3500 and some people believe is from 5200 to 3500 |

sammysammy111: It's easier said than done! To break monopoly you have to ramp up production, to ramp up production you need to invest more money to buy more machinery to increase capacity...where is the money to do that?! |

Seems like BUA Cement is profitable. So, I'd suggest you buy shares to benefit from dividends instead of complaining, because they are not a charity. https://www.buacement.com/financialreport/
