Just merge FRSC and other paramilitary agencies with the regular Police as it works in other developed Nation.

We want total restructuring and not this pretense
TooNoisy:
Mr President working really hard. We most certainly need a complete reform.of our police force. Let's hope Egbetokun will deliver the much needed reforms.

Even PDP stakeholder can now see vision of the president and are joining hands with Mr President to move Nigeria forward. All hands need to come together to move this country forward.

Ok then.

From today, May your life and anything you put your hands into be as authentic as Tinubu's victory and as organized as Nigeria economy and Apc government.

Kushites:

Shut up.

This is not the restructuring Amoda has been advocating for years.

Boss grammar, I must admit! wink

"special committee to look at all the gaps in Nigeriaโ€™s 1999 constitution with a view to bring harmony and synergy, closing technology and manpower to the Nigerian Police Force."

Federal Police
State/ Regional Police
and
Local government Police.
With responsibilities, boundaries and authority/ control METICULOUSLY written.
Particularly BARRING control by POLITICIANS likely to PERSECUTE their adversaries.
It can be done we just need COURAGE.

Yea well soupported police must be reviewed and pls send many of them on compulsory retirement they don't worth wearing that uniform.

No food in the country we need more farmers so send them to their villages to go and farm if they like they can then be killing their pawpaw, palm trees, maize and yam with bullet because of N50 that is their headache.
Re: Tinubu Sets Up Constitutional Review Committee On Police Reforms by OlujobaSamuel: 10:21am On Nov 01, 2023
The objective is good but I don't like the composition of the committee, 3police officer 1non officer, likelihood of getting a good result is slim as their view will be limited to their police experience
Re: Tinubu Sets Up Constitutional Review Committee On Police Reforms by abuhusna1: 10:22am On Nov 01, 2023
We just need state police

Allow our presidooo to rehabilitate Nigeria one after the others
You are expecting overnight reconfiguration which is not possible

After the police reform then he will face other critical amenities

Nigeria has been in this mess since 1960 so don't expect miracle with 2 years

One central police can never work for 200m people

Nigeria needs state police ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

The whole police in nigeria isn't even enough for sw only

For unemployment and insecurity to reduce drastically

Developed nations have state police

NYPD etc

Frsc and nscdc should be handled over to state government

They will form the foundation of state police

Governance is not rocket science

State policing is coming!

Dismantle everything into Federal police, State police and community police for effective security of lives and meaningful development.

State Policing is ok but we must structure it such that d governors don't have d absolute control cos they will abuse it. We need to factor a way where d police would be isolated from d gov or the state senators and Reps members plus d governor and speaker would form d police council of d state with power to appoint, promote or sack d commissioner of police

I'm ready to be surprised if anything really changes.

Police reform? What do they mean by that?
A reform of the Nigeria Police Force? I laugh ha ha ha... It's a deliberate attention diversion. Running in the eastern direction when you know the correct way leads you west. Do you reform a cancer sore? Policing in Nigeria is what must be changed.

The IGP mentioned community policing, a reflection of the fact that they all know what must be done but are moving away from it borne by the evil wind of trepidation of some caught up in the futility of fulanisation.

People in each local council and state must own their own police and be totally involved in their own policing.

You can't see true peace and progress where there is no security and a police organisation that the people can own and trust, ..
and trust and own.

The present Nigeria Police Force is an agency of domination and destruction of peoples' destinies available for use by 'One Nigeria' satanists, Hitlers, who are bereft of the understanding that in destroying others, they too 'go down low'.
