The Nigeria team has many issues.

1. Some players have permanent shirts whether they are in form or not.

2. Some players have been on the team for too long. They are tired legs that should have retired for long.

3. New players that are doing well are not invited because the old ones refuse to leave.

4. NFF interfers with player selection.

5. We don't have a world class coach.

6. Inadequate training. You can't just invite players few days to a match and expect magic to happen.

7. Above all, NFF leaders are mediocres.

I remeber watching the Nigeria Cote D Ivoire must win WC qualifier in Lagos in 93. The ground was so intimidating Michele Bassole missed 2 sitters against Wilfred Agbonibasket. It was unthinkable for the Eagles to win by a single goal. From 3 goals up was considered a good result
