Save Democracy Group (SDG) has raised concerns over bribery allegations involving judges at the Delta governorship election appeal in Lagos by Oborevwori and Okowa, facilitated through Mr Isaiah Bozimo former attorney general and commissioner for justice in Delta state, Orodje of Okpe, and Bode George.

The concern was voiced by Femi Adebayo, the Chairman of the SDG in Lagos State, during a press conference in Ikeja, the state capital, regarding the alleged bribery.

He alleged that the former commissioner for justice in Delta state. Mr Isaiah Bozimo, who is the son of the former Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Roseline Bozimo, was present at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Ikeja yesterday carrying a staggering sum of seven million dollars in a Versace travel bag, accompanied by Raymond, a personal assistant to former Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

They reportedly held a meeting with Bode George and the Orodje of Okpe kingdom, with Bode George wearing a face cap, nose mask, and blue jeans, arriving in a black tinted Lexus Jeep. A claim was made that the Versace bag was handed over to Bode George by Mr Isaiah Bozimo, under instructions from Okowa and Oborevwori, in order to influence the judges to write a judgment favoring the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Femi Adebayo further alleged that during the meeting, a source who works at the hotel overheard Mr Isaiah Bozimo speaking to Bode George, Raymond and the Orodje of Okpe kingdom about how his mother. Justice Roseline Bozimo, was contracted by Oborevwori, Okowa, and prominent PDP members in Delta State with seven million dollars to bribe the judges at the Delta state Governorship Appeal sitting in Lagos. The aim is for the appeal court to uphold the judgment of the tribunal and dismiss the appeal of Ovie Omo Agege, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The Group also called upon the National Judicial Council (NJC) to launch a thorough investigation into the allegations made against the panels involved in the Delta State governorship appeal in Lagos and also vehemently emphasize that they have absolute confidence in the integrity of the judges of the Delta state Governorship Appeal in Lagos and the judiciary, firmly believe that they will not align themselves with individuals who lack the moral value and conduct that others should strive to emulate.

SDA appealed to the Department of State Services (DSS) to invite Mr Isaiah Bozimo, Raymond, Bode George, and the Orodje of Okpe kingdom for questioning regarding these weighty allegations, as they fear the potential for chaos and disorder in Delta state.

Additionally, they urged former Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to swiftly address and clear himself of the allegations leveled against him.

A P C is a malignant cell destroying our democracy. Either we destroy it or it will truncate the 4th Republic.
