No matter how you want to look at it, Long term, Nigeria needs people with balls, people that can take the fall, people like Emefiele that can take some risks. People that knows the importance of localization of economy and import substitution. We need to take outside the box approach. We don’t need people like IMF and the WB feeding us Stale economic jackshit! Protecting our local industry is key!

I swear. That’s like reversing the gains we have made in the past years. Before the developed western countries reached their level today, they ruthlessly protected their local manufacturing economy. But now they are pressuring us through the IMF and the WBto float our exchange and remove restrictions so we can be dumping ground for their cheap exports which have been heavily subsidized by their government.

I keep asking myself, how do educated Nigerians and our politicians not see through these economic jackshit lies!

You vote the best candidate... Nobody said he is perfect
So to your mind, Buhari was/is better than Jonathan, shows how shallow people reason.

Even an almajiri will tell the better of the two. Economic indices are there to see for the enlightened mind. The international community has continued to invite one of the two for international assignments and we know who that is.

I argued here repeatedly that restriction on rice etc was doing damage to the economy more than it is saving it but some idiotas that i can remember their names kept saying that it was the best decision ever taken by Buhari to save the economy. What economy are we saving with impoverishing our people and getting the cost of food higher. Before rice was restricted, a 50kg of long grain thai parboiled rice went as low as N12k after paying customs duties while local rice was about 6k or 7k for 50kg. Buhari and his stupid advisers came and imposed restrictions and everybody began chasing the small available local rice and suddenly 50kg of local rice rose to over 50k.

Compare CV and use your head. During Insecurity Nigeria doesn't need a Zoological PhD, we need a Sandhurst trained war college Msc holder

NDA, Sandhurst college, US war college, Jos Staff College

Vs

Zoology degree, Bsc, msc PhD Uniport

Oga the only reason that policy didn’t work out as intended was govt lackadaisical approach towards the agricultural sector. I keep saying it, we need to go the way of China. China would ruthlessly invest in modern technology, hydroponics, modern sprinklers. Otherwise how do we intend to satisfy our 200million population by subsistence agriculture? China have a population of 1.4b people and they are the largest exporters of goods. How were they able to achieve that milestone if not through ruthless technology application and firm believe in achieving their long term goals even when the short to medium term were kind of difficult?? Nigeria, we are not ready yet!

You mean they placed these restrictions, lost a lot of money, citizens suffers price surge of commodities and yet, no result.
The local production of these items didn't even happen. Nigerian rice is selling for 48k naira per 50kg. Whereas, we were buying foreign rice at 10k per 50kg before 2015.
Emefiele and Buhari did us real dirty with draconian policies that benefited only them.

Nigeria should have focus on things we have an advantage on
Buhari only trie to weaponise poverty so as to lord over Nigeria. Is so insane that we Nigeria even think that we can compete with Thailand in rice production. How many of our land is even good for rice?. Most Nigeria youth even hate farming, even northern youth don’t like farming again, we should have just focus on another thing instead of farming
