When fools and illiterates are in power, this is always the outcome. That act by the fóolish Lagos state government cannot be rationalized or justified, except idiots that will have contrary opinions. Fools are always opportuned to rule Lagos.

No wonder a certificate forger and a drug peddler pocketed the whole state. That's what happens when the majority are illiterates, ironically , they're the ones claiming sophistication, shame!

What about the hundreds of houses marked for demolition in Anambra?
Is it justified or justifiable?

No wonder Obi came third in the last election. He lacks sense and doesn't know when not to talk.

When Soludo and Otti were demolishing houses in Anambra and Abia,. respectively, this LP third-placed candidate kept quiet. Dude now found his voice because it concerns the Lagos they have coveteousness for.

How can you say the timing of the demolition is wrong, all in the name of hardship in the land? When hasn't there ever been hardship on Nigeria and in the world? So, because of hardship, illegalities should be permitted? Armed robbery should also be legalized because of hardship, according to Obi with 419 sense.

He even insinuated that Government ought to not have carried out the demolition now, meaning it should have been postponed. This is another reason why he's not fit to rule Nigeria. So, he means government should continue to permit flooding caused by illegal structures encroaching on waterways in Lagos. Doesn't he know that while the canal's route is blocked, its water gets diverted to other communities which gets flooded. This leads to stagnation of water that causes malaria mosquitoes, typhoid, loss of property and dirty environment. These happen while the illegal criminals enjoy their mansions sited on illegal land. Sadly, when there's a flood, the descendants of those so-called mansion owners will mock Lagos.

What Peter Obi wants is a postponement of doomsday. This was the same way he supported Naira Scarcity. Now he's supporting illegality, yet hopes to lead Nigeria someday.

Below is a photo shared by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, showing buildings built to block a canal's passage. During raining season, where do the owners of those buildings expect water to pass through? Definitely, the water will find a channel that will lead it to where irs not supposed to go to, there y causing flooding in other communities. Obi wants such buildings to remain standing, whereas he demolished such buildings when he as the Governor of Anambra State.

He's a clown

you are the clueless mumu here! If all building codes and regulations wer strictly followed 50 %of buildings in Lagos will have to be demolished! Like Obi said all sensible laws should be enforced like reclaiming the canal right of way........enforced in ikota and Ejigbo but you see the festac and some of the abule ado demolitions will forever live in infamy..............there are many ways the demolitions could have been avoided! Anyway whatever a man does will be judged by posterity ! El Rufai did the same in Abuja in the early 2000s ...what happened to him later........he lost 4 sons back to back and he also lost a very young wife! I pity those who were involved in wrongful demolitions....I dont wanna be in their shoes going forward!

I’m definitely sure we’ll reiterate at the appropriate time, just allow them to finish with their madness . I won’t fault those who build in Lagos but my people should stop building in places like Ogun, Oyó, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti, it’s awaiting disaster.... please don’t do it again. build your house only in Igbo land or south south .. those useless skull miners are lazy, jealous, and evil minded.

You can be right, but with all the right and left bashing, what was the govt doing that can't do anything about town planning? Must there be people building illegal structures? Are illegal structures built in a day that govt can't see the projects before it is been projected on unwanted areas?

Personal have choose to be silent on the topic because it’s a very dicey topic, emotional for the people that there houses will be destroyed and when you look at the effects of flooding on the other hand that can even lead to loose of life

Was the same govt blind when the houses are been built?
Re: Obi Faults Demolition Of Houses, Says Timing Wrong by Intrepid01(m): 3:02pm On Nov 30, 2023
Peter Obi and his team are dumb. So people who built houses at Lekki are poor people right? Or government should wait till the whole Lagos island is carried away by flood before taking action right? Meanwhile this same stupid people will blame the government for not doing the right thing when the flooding occurs. Foolish politicians who only take side with Nigerians when they are out of office or seeking political office.

Proactive measure is still the best. The govt should find means to proactively prevent people from.building wrecklessly, it should not be a thing of pride to go about demolishing houses, it lacks human face and empathy.

If there are no proactive measure, 20years from now the next govt would still be demolishing houses and the cycle continues. Some people stubbornly break-through law but there are others that genuinely didn't know some of the lands belongs to the govt because there are no notice anywhere for people to see. Some that even go to the govt office to check might still be scammed.

It's not enough top post a picture of a house blocking a canal and use it as an alabi, what about those in Abule Ado, were they also blocking the canal?

Good to know he said that. Maybe people will come up yet - because I've hearing stories about people with documents.

Anyway, my point is that with a few isolated incidents of people building where the weren't meant to, this would be understandable. But in a situation where so many houses were built in the wrong place, it suggests a failure of the state to prevent these houses from being built, leading to such colossal economic waste.

Tinubu, Sanwolu Responsible For Abule Ado Bombing
Today, Tinubu is demolishing 1000 houses in Abule Ado, just three years after the bombing.

Now, we know those behind the bombing that killed so many in Abule Ado, destroying Igbo homes and businesses.

Beyond hearing let me know when you see anyone present official govt documents that permitted them to build

All the houses demolished were built illegally, its not a few isolated. It only means there is a tendency to flout rules by the people and disregard rules. Why do you have people going against traffic, Is it because govt didn't demarcate the road appropriately
