sorry, i need you to understand that those who left Nigeria didn't leave because they hate their country. We left because we have only one life to live and cannot just waste our life away on hopelessness. Living in a country where things work is supposed to be a right and not privilege.

The Nigerian government/leadership made it become a privilege.

The government takes taxes and the citizens can see and enjoy the benefits of taxes they pay.

While in Nigeria i paid taxes on my business every year as required by the government. But guess what, its always multiple taxation and you have to pay indirectly through other means because of the corruption in government.

For your last paragraph, thats a very myopic view to say Nigerians dont want to pay but they want good things.

Every country has citizens who will not willingly pay their taxes or even pay for services they enjoy.
Its a human default thing.

But you want to know why othet countries succeed in making sure everyone pays? Because the government develops a working system that ensures its either you pay or you are left out of the system.
