Healthy eating and a plant-based diet aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, quite the opposite! Plants are rich in fibre, they can provide all the healthy proteins, carbs and fats you need in your diet, and are chock full of vitamins and minerals. What's more, you can remarkably reduce the health risks linked to the consumption of red and processed meats and of too many saturated fats.

So does that mean that ‘plant-based’ equals ‘healthy’? Unfortunately, it's not that simple. You could be living off nothing but veggie patties and vegan ice cream, but that doesn't mean you're doing your body a favour. However, if you follow a balanced diet, research shows that plant-based eating has proven health benefits.

1. Eat five-a-day:
Fruits and vegetables are rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals, while nuts and pulses contain healthy proteins and fatty acids. These plant-based power foods are a blessing for your cardiovascular health. Many people feel more energetic and have more regular bowel movements once they start eating more plant-based foods atleast 5 portion a day.

Consuming less food at a time will helps to lose more body weight. Drinking plenty of water and doing simple workouts will supports to improving the body health. Avoiding oil rich food items will helps to lose more body weight.

2. Healthy Snacking: Snacks are light meals usually taken in between meals. To lose weight and maintain it, one has to be intentional about everything that goes into the mouth, From breakfast to dinner which is the last meal of the day. These sum up the total daily calorie.
Snack on nutrient dense snack option such as fruits, smoothies made with low fat milk options, veggies, fresh fruit juice, green teas etc. Be mindful of food label and avoid Ingredients that triggers certain reactions.
