It will pass through the 5 Eastern capitals of Umuahia, Owerri, Awka, Enugu then Abakaliki and it was conceived and started by the immediate past government led by former President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and continued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

Great.

Other countries already have this.... If perhaps we delayed independence, the British would have done all these

There were attacks on CCECC workers and vandalism around the Aba axis some months back. Security has gotten better, and construction has continued.

This is quite commendable even though the Eastern Corridor should have been constructed with the standard Guage instead of this narrow Guage...

The train stations should equally be reconstructed with cutting edge designs, make we know say Tinubu truly means his words of not marginalizing the east in his administration.

Nice one.

Port Harcourt to Enugu is the first phase of this project, it's suppose to be functioning by now, when will the first phase really be completed?

They should link the routes to all the companies in Aba as previously done before the breakdown. Unilever, PZ, Johnson, Equitable etc have tracks inside the factories for the transportation of finished goods. That was what made Aba special. Aba had well connected Gas lines and train tracks to Factories.

Nothing to celebrate here. North & West both have standard gauge rail line.. what they are doing in the East is narrow gauge line which is far slower.

One country two system.

You are very stupid and ignorant.

The British were maximum looters who came here to loot, which is the ONLY reason for colonialism.

Instead of being a stupid slave happy to be colonised, you should be asking why your country was an undeveloped bush in 1960 after they had ruled for 60 years uninterrupted and exporting your resources.

Mumu people.

The blacks are not looters?? Dunderhead.

At least the British would have done better than the precious black thieves we had/have had.

How many universities, power stations, asphalted roads etc did the British built in Nigeria in their 77 years of colonisation?
How many do we have in our 63 years of independence?🤡

Honestly the level of ignorance and self hate among these people is tragic.

It never even occurred to the moro.n to ask WHAT EXACTLY the British achieved in power in their 60 year rule.

He just assumed that because they were white people, they were good for us!

Shocking levels of stupidity on this forum.

bros, its a tragedy....no matter what blacks do,people like him will still think whites can do better....

its like fallin in love with somebody that robbed you ran away, returned and beat you up added to it.... undecided undecided

Only 5% of Nigerians were literate in the 77 years of colonialism. Today more than 70% are literate

They were stealing the rails and insecurity also stopped the work.

There can be no progress and development in a place where there's no peace and there's daily shedding of the blood of innocent people by terrorists.

Stockholm Syndrome.

It’s a psychological state whereby you develop affection for, and trust in your exploiter and abuser. Many Nigerians suffer from this condition in relation to so-called whites, and it’s tragic.

Don’t mind him.

A FOOTPATH led to his village during colonial rule, not a road. Not even a ‘bad road’.

A footpath.

Yet he wants the whites back ruling him.
