Plateau Killings: Envoys Of Death, Sorrow Won’t Escape Justice, Tinubu Vows by Kuginzi: 4:45pm On Dec 26, 2023 |
By Stephen Angbulu President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday directed security agencies to scout for and apprehend culprits of the Christmas Day attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which left at least 100 persons dead. Condemning what he called a “primitive and heinous” attack, Tinubu said, “These envoys of death, pain, and sorrow will not escape justice.” The PUNCH reports that over 100 persons were killed as armed men attacked 12 communities in Bokkos local government area, while over 17 others died in coordinated attacks on three communities in Barkin Ladi LGA, home to the Plateau State Polytechnic. According to survivors’ accounts, Monday’s attacks were carried out by persons believed to be herders who displaced thousands of settlers and destroyed property worth millions of naira. A statement signed Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, read: "President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the heinous and brutal attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which resulted in the tragic loss of many lives. “President Tinubu directs security agencies to immediately move in, scour every stretch of the zone, and apprehend the culprits. "The President also directs immediate mobilisation of relief resources for surviving victims of the primitive and cruel attacks as well as a medical treatment for the wounded.” While condoling with the government and the people of Plateau State, Tinubu assured Nigerians that “these envoys of death, pain, and sorrow will not escape justice.” https://punchng.com/plateau-killings-envoys-of-death-sorrow-wont-escape-justice-tinubu-vows/

rinzaugustine:Do you know that Obi could not live in Anambra after his tenure due to the spate of insecurity in his state, immediately after his tenure, he also connected his daughter to a private school in Lagos while his son was sent abroad. He has never believed in Anambra. Plateau state is bigger than the whole of 5 SE states, the larger size of the north makes security a bit more complex in addition to lesser army personnels. Good thing is, the Army has been more proactive recently taking the battle to the terrorists' hideouts and have been eliminating a good number of the bandits leaders. 2 Likes 1 Share |

If you want to deal with this terrorist go get 20 Mechnaries from Isreal,in one month they will be finished, this Fulani’s terrorist re hiding behind those rocks at hawan Kibo ,which through the forests there link with Bokkos ad barkin ladi, Nigerian security will only talk and will not do anything, they made videos , one group was killing , another was carrying foods , livestocks , and the other was carrying their injured brothers or anyone that was eventually hit, they have been kidnapping and robbing pple btw kuru-hawan kibo-forest federal road for 7years, apc in plateau state is just anti people, all these happened under lalongs 8years nothing was done, none was arrested or persecuted, he was always in abuja , washing plate for buhari, that is why 80percent of plateau pple will never vote apc, for 8years this kuru - hawankibo -forest road is filled with potholes which you must slow down , and it makes it easier for these terrorists yet lalong never did anything to fill the potholes, in less than 6months mutfwang has lobbied and these less than 50km road has been rehabilitated, what a good man. |
